Review: Good berbere blend - My stock of berbere from Ethiopia had run out so I had to look elsewhere and although I prefer the authentic product or to purchase from an Ethiopian source, this is a very good blend of spices and has that great berbere kick. I love using it to make misir wot, a spicy Ethiopian lentil stew, yum!

A: yes very good quality. very fresh. much stronger than other brands I have purchased/ tasted...there are many imitations but this one was excellent. if it is not direct from ethiopia it is from someone who knows their ethiopian food.

I used this as a rub for grilled chicken. The flavors come through well. If you like spicy, but not too spicy, then give it a try. If you like extra spicy, you’ll probably need to add something with a little more zing to get the most out of it.
