**Q: can this be used on the tubes?**
A: no. the tire boot is a temporary fix for a tire that has sustained a tear or cut. Without it the tire's tube would bubble through the cut when air pressure is put into the tube. It is not designed to be used as a patch for tubes.

**Q: does this have to be stuck on the outside of the tyre or inside of the tire?**
A: The patch is applied to the inside of the tire between the tire and the tube.

**Q: will this work with tyres that have tubes ?**
A: This is specifically _for_ tyres that have tubes.

**Q: Is the edge of the tapered to prvent tune wear and failure from the sharp edge of the boot?**
A: The boot is thin enough that it does not need to be tapeted.

These are handy things to take on a ride as part of your kit, they are only a temporary fix to get you home. I take an inner tube but also one of these. Handy if something puts a small hole in your tire or a split in the side leaving your inner tube more exposed, I had to use one once and it did get me 17 miles home so always part of my kit now
