LG LFXS28566S 27.7 Cu. Ft. Stainless French Door Refrigerator with Door-in-Door

Though this refrigerator is attractive and has some nice features, if you do your research you will see that LG has some serious issues with compressor failure. We purchased a five year protection plan, and five months after it expired, the compressor died. As we were not home at the time to catch this immediately, we lost everything in our refrigerator and freezer…not to mention the mess we came home to due to the spoiled food. LG is replacing the compressor, but we are still looking at potentially over $500 in repair costs with labor, as well as hundreds of dollars in lost food. And I begin to wonder if we are not just setting ourselves up for more of the same down the road. If I was to begin again, I would research a bit more thoroughly, and most likely chose a different brand!

The repairman says LG compressors are pieces of garbage and make up the majority of his repairs. He came over at 12 and had already worked on 2 other LG compressors before he came that morning. Look at online reviews and don't believe Consumer Reports! These fridges are expensive pieces of garbage.

Stay away from LG fridges. Even the LG repair man called to fix it says they are the worst of all of them.
