Great goggles i use for filtering out violet laser light.
i bought these goggles for the opposite reason they are sold. I have a violet burning/ etching laser i use on my cnc machine and need to wear goggles to look at it without burning my eyes and causing blindness. violet light is filtered out with red lenses. my laser is 405nm to 500 and it is almost completely filtered out. i had cheap googles before marketed for filtering out violet light for lasers and using them i wondered if i should be seeing so much violete light and if they were really working. after using these goggles i now know the other goggles did almost nothing. a great way to see if the goggles filter out your lasers light is to shine it threw the goggles onto a paper or something and see if any light gets past the goggles. (goggles in hand not over eyes). these glasses are very very comfortable and i can wear them for a long time without it getting uncomfortable. they feel very strong and not like they are going to break easily. after trying the first pair i bought a second pair right away so that anyone working on the laser with me can sit there in safty and not loose their sight from looking at the light. These goggles do a great job for my purposes. Side note though. do not drive wearing these. i tried it for a moment just wondering what the world looks like in red. turns out the green of traffic lights is completely invisable to these. it was surprising how bright the light was naturally and how completely dark it was with these goggles on. it really felt like i was being tricked it looked just like the light was off.

Comparing Bosch and Dewalt laser glasses?
I bought both the Bosch DLA001 Laser View-Enhancing Glasses and these glasses in the same shipment. I was paying for overnight shipping and it was no increase in shipping to get another pair so why not?First off, I am using these glasses with the Bosch Dual Plane Leveling and Alignment Laser, Model# GLL2-80. I doubt that using another make of laser would affect my experience but there you go.Both glasses do the job. They make the red laser line much easier to see in all conditions. Without the glasses, it is impossible to see the beam at 30 feet away in bright sunlight. If you have a red reflector, that makes it possible to see the beam, but you have to work hard to see it and it's difficult to be sure of your measurement. With the glasses, it's much easier. It doesn't fundamentally change the use of a laser level. The beams are still hard to see in super-bright light and/or at a distance. But they are very inexpensive, so you really should get a pair, either pair, to help your laser leveling tasks. Now you want to know which pair is better, these or the Bosch. I will be returning this pair and keeping the Bosch. The Bosch ones make the beam show up just a tad bit more, but really, just a tad. The Bosch glasses are ridonculous-sized, which is a good thing if you need to wear eyeglasses underneath them. The Dewalts are more comfortable. But I don't care about comfort when I'm laser leveling, I just want the best performance. And the Bosch glasses are better than the Dewalts. But either is great.

Realistic Expectations
Several comments about these not enhancing laser visibility appear to be due to a misunderstanding their stated purpose. These are designed to help OUTDOORS in BRIGHT conditions. At that, in my opinion, they work as designed.I was having a difficult time using a Bosch Laser Distance Measurer in the daylight hours as I was unable to track the laser against concrete and other bright surfaces, and snow has made it even worse. The glasses just arrived, and I took them outside to test. Without the glasses, I lost the laser on snow after about 5 yards and around 10 yards on concrete. With the glasses, I could track a laser out 25 to 30 yards, which was as far as I tested. Still not as good as when using the laser indoors or at dusk, but it at least makes it usable in sunlight now. This is the first and only pair I've tried, so I don't know how they stack up to the competition. I would recommend reading the post title "Comparing Bosch and Dewalt laser glasses?" by Nathaniel J. West for that.

They help
These definitely help see the line on my chop saw in daylight. They also work well with my laser level. They are big enough to wear over my prescription glasses. Not a perfect fit, but workable.

Glaases do not look like whats pictured.
This is another Item that got me with the advertised photo. The glasses that I received look nothing like what is pictured in the ad., again. The actual function of the laser glasses does work. I am able to see the laser line when working outdoors on a bright sunny day, this part I am satisfied with. The glasses that I received are a 1 piece unit, not like what is shown with separate black plastic arms. The arms on mine are of the same material as the glasses, red plastic. and also the nose supports are a red plastic molded to the glasses not separate as shown in the picture. This is the 3rd item that i purchased from Amazon where the item received is nothing like the item shown in the ad. I guess that is the price we pay for buying on line and not from a Dept. store where we can actually look, feel and touch the product before purchase.

Comfortable and practical glasses to block out blue light
I use these glasses at night to block out blue light and help me unwind. At first I thought it seemed a little gimmicky, but I find that blocking out the light with these glasses really does help me unwind at night and fall asleep easier. The glasses fit me pretty well. There's no room underneath for glasses if you wear prescription glasses. I can fit my prescription glasses over these if I really need to, but it's not the most comfortable, so I usually use them without my regular eye glasses. The lenses of these red glasses have a curved shape so that they curve around the side of your face and block out most of the peripheral light. If I move my eyes to the side, I still can get a glimpse of the regular light, and they take some regular adjusting to make sure they are blocking out light at all angles.Overall, these are comfortable and practical and really help me to relax at night.
