Some only have playback of recorded content. I suggest you try first to plug your camcorder to a TV HDMI input. This test will immediately tell you what you can and cannot do. Whatever you will see on your TV is what you will get with this product in OBS or any streaming software. It registers in Windows 10 as a capture device and can therefore be used to capture whatever feed our camcorder sends out. I personally use it with a DSLR which has LIVE VIEW enabled through HDMI. **Q: Is there noticeable latency/delay?** A: No delays. We use it for our karaoke business to show words and videos on two different screens. It works great! **Q: Will this allow you to stream / capture video from a camcorder to the computer?** A: More or less, yes. You need software such as OBS to use it as a source to record into. It will take an HDMI signal into your computer and see it as a "camera" device. **Q: Is this compatible with the nintendo switch and it's dock?** A: It only has analog video cables. It does not support HD video capture. It’s most likely possible, but not at a high resolution quality. ## Frequently Bought Together - HDMI Capture Card - August VGB500 - HDMI to USB 3.0 Full HD 1080p 60fps - Record and Stream with Ultra-Low Latency on PS4/5, Xbox/Xbox One Switch Twitch Mixer YouTube with PC Mac & Linux - Guermok Video Capture Card, USB3.0 HDMI to USB C Audio Capture Card, 4K 1080P 60FPS Capture with Type-C Adapter Devices for Gaming Live Streaming, Video Recorder, Windows Mac OS System OBS Zoom - ViewHD 2 Port 1x2 Powered HDMI 1 in 2 Out Mini Splitter for 1080P & 3D | Model: VHD-1X2MN3D --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/86227789-hdmi-gaming-video-capture-windows-mac](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/86227789-hdmi-gaming-video-capture-windows-mac) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
