It takes a 3v lithium CR1220. BUT- I believe the unit is designed to break its contacts once opened and therefore totally prevents you from reusing the device. As if they didn’t charge enough, there’s now a subscription fee. How about charge more for a rechargeable model that’s is made of quality materials? The housing of the unit is also held together by sticky TAPE. Not actual glue or any sort of prong or structural support. It’s about $10 in flimsy plastic parts. Hmmmm, great idea but..... *by K***O on April 2, 2019* Original Review...I like the looks of the bracelet. I hope I don’t ever need to use it! Three drawbacks. 1. It broke off the ring attached to the bracelet after one week. 2. Because it broke off, I wanted to attach it to a different bracelet that I wear all the time. Can’t do that because InvisaWear can’t get wet and putting my Pandora on and off that I wanted to attach it to is a nightmare. So......I wore the InvisaWear for a week and it now sits on my bureau. Drawback #3. When you close out your apps on your phone, it shuts down InvisaWear. Therefore you have to reopen the app in order for it to work with your phone. (This might be my limited technology fault though!) All-in-all, I am not sure I would recommend right now. As I said, I like the idea in general though. Updated Review...the new and improved version of this bracelet has performed flawlessly! My first bracelet was replaced quickly and without any hassle. Customer service has been wonderful.
