It was a little rough on my skin when I first used it and added it to a light oil on my skin. It is definitely a retinol and I'm sure it works really good if you're able to handle a 0.5% I'm going to go ahead and weaken the formula a little bit and start with every 3 days, which is what I should have done the first time. It is a good product and a good price on Amazon. And it does get rid of age spots, yay!
