Chamberlain Garage Door Sensor
We had one of these previously. It helped a lot to let us know our garage door was opened. Our garage doesn't have an entrance into the interior of the house. So, it alerted us to know the garage was opened and needed to be closed.

Inexpensive, simple, effective
The design is simple, so there is not a lot to go wrong as long as the monitor can hear the signals from the sensor. The sensor simply attaches to the garage door and if the sensor is upright, then the door is down and it sends that signal. If the sensor is face down, then it is dangling from the door that is overhead and open and sends a different status signal. The sensor sends repeated updates to the monitor so that you can trust the status lights. If no signal is heard after 20 minutes, the monitor will flash both indicator lights. My sensor worked right away, but the velcro mount was inadequate for keeping it secure on a rumbling garage door. The quick fix for that was to put two, small screws into the door on either side of the sensor and then tie string to the screws to safety belt the sensor in place. This allows for easy removal when I eventually need to change the battery. It has been running for a couple of months now.The monitor goes up in the bedroom. I originally had it mounted below the flat screen television that I have on the wall, but something emanating from the TV when it is on jammed the radio signal from the sensor. This caused the monitor to flash its lights red and green to indicate that it has no idea what the state of the garage door is. Simply moving the monitor away from the TV fixed the problem. This device is good piece of mind because we can read the door status all night without going downstairs. One night we forgot to close the garage door and the police banged on our front door at 1AM to let us know. I honestly appreciated this because I am normally very security conscious and tend not to leave my cars and tools vulnerable like this which is what prompted the police to ask about the odd change and confirm that we were OK.

Works Well
This replaced an identical unit that was 15 years old. The unit works well and gives us peace of mind that the door is closed.

No sound
Works, but has no audible warning when door is open. Sensitivity is subject to distance and obstacles. Color was gray, not white as shown. Also not shown was the power supply for the receiver.

Expensive ! But does the job
This device functions perfectly I just wish I had done more research on what I needed. There has to be something out there less expensive.

Expensive but worth it
Had to relocate this from my previous area, working great now.

A must for an ease of mind
Never seen something, so simple, that works so great.Very easy to install (attach) and works over 45 feet, across the entire house.Sensor batteries seem to last longer than expected; after 4 months, the original batteries are still working great.

Works great, but looks a bit dated.
Bought one recently, it's simple and does the trick, and also very easy to install. But for 5 star I would want:– better design/look (this looks very dated, from the 70s)– ability to configure audio warning after garage door kept opened for longer than X minutes
