Everydaysource Compatible With Apple iPod Gen4 Shuffle Skin Case , Black

I started running just over a year ago. A running friend suggested I listen to music to help pass the time so I purchased an Apple iPod Shuffle. It is small, lightweight clipped to my shirt; perfect for running. I assumed this was what it was designed for but within 3 weeks it was dead. It died in the middle of a 10 mile run after a light rain just started to fall. Fortunately the retailer replaced it for free but I needed something to protect it while running outside in the weather. Also I sweat, a lot so I’m not sure if it was the rain or sweat that killed the first iPod. So I purchase this silicone Skin Case. The replacement iPod Shuffle so far has lasted 10 months; through 3 marathons, 100s of miles training, countless rain showers including a few hard down pours and sweat; lots of sweat. I did make one modification; I put the skin on upside down so the enclosed end of the skin covers the buttons. I poked a small hole in the skin in order to insert the headphone plug, the hole is small enough that it fits tightly around the plug to maintain a seal. I just peal back the corner of skin to turn the iPod on and then put it back in place to cover the on button. The skin fits tight and seals out any sweat or rain.

Nothing much to say since it's just a rubber case, but here goes:Got it for my iPod Shuffle 4th Gen since I had to replace it after my last one dropped about three feet and wouldn't turn on anymore. I have honestly dropped this one about three times and it's still going strong (maybe it's the shuffle, maybe it's the case!).It shipped from China surprisingly fast and you simply slide the rubber skin from the bottle of the Shuffle to the top and over the clip on the back. I've had it on for about two months and it doesn't slide off easily without some pressure applied in the downward direction. It's also convenient knowing it'll protect your front buttons from dust particles or even beach sand. If it ever tears or wears out, I'll be sure to get another one!I hope this review helps :)

When Apple discontinued the shuffle last year I bought two prior to the inevitable price increases. My wife left hers in a shirt pocket and it found it's way into the washing machine. As you can imagine, it did not survive. About two months later, I did the same. Happily, the Everydaysource cover SAVED my iPod from a sudsy death. I'm sure these aren't advertised as waterproof, but it worked for me, at least once.

It arrived fast –that was nice! However, it is what it is: a small piece of silicone that envelops your shuffle –nothing more, nothing less! The Pros: it protects your shuffle from your dirty and sweaty hands. The Cons: it's flimsy, and over time I've noticed that it has started to come off very easily if I bump into something; it is also harder to turn the volume up and down, and to clip the shuffle while playing music, for I end up pausing it or pressing some other function. Finally, for this price–after looking at what you get–they should include a couple of extra ones.

Given the other reviews, it was exactly what I was expecting. And for $2 is was worth it. Just something to protect it from sweat and debris. More colors would be great. Didn't have any issue with it clipping on my shirt.

I am happy with this product. The silicone case is open on the back to not obstruct the use of the clip and is also open on one side of the iPod for use of the buttons. The front and the other three sides are covered. It is simple to put on. It provides good protection from scratches and dirt. This product is worth buying in my opinion.

Showed up on time and price is right. It slipped right onto my new IPod Shuffle. The only thing is that the "white letters" on the IPod are no longer visible. The black cover has the same markings but are just "black on black" and a little difficult to see. I am using this cover on my Shuffle for my Harley-Davidson. Yes, I would recommend and buy again.
