CalNaturale Svelte Organic Gluten Free Protein Shake, Cappuccino, 15.9 Ounce (Pack of 12)

I like the Cal Naturale Svelte vanilla Protein Drink.This vanilla protein drink tastes good and has a decent consistancy. I like that these drinks do not have to be stored in the refrigerator. I buy a box of 12 and only chill one or two at a time. I do not want my whole refrigerator filled with protein drinks, because my focus is on eating natural whole foods as much as possible. My schedule can get crazy and I need to have something to keep me going that contains protein. I can't carry around hard boiled eggs or a piece of meat, because they would spoil. This goes down easily and has 16 grams of protein. I just throw one in my swim bag in the morning. I usually have one after my Masters Swim workout.I do not like the cap on the bottle. It is hard to open. Sometimes when I open it, the threads that the cap screws onto develops cracks, and then the beverage leaks while I am drinking it. This happened while I was driving, and made a mess. I buy things like this for convenience and to save time. It does not save time if the drink leaks all over my clothes and my car. So I did not give it 5 stars, because of the packaging. I will still buy it. I will just try to be more careful so that if it leaks it won't get on me.

I was walking through my local Wegmans grocery store and was surprised when I actually saw these on sale in store. They wanted $14 for 4 of them, so needless to say Amazon is a better deal.The taste of these packs is great, although I don't primarily drink them. My wife practically lives on these for her breakfast every morning.The Chai flavor is delicious and tastes similar to a Starbucks Chai Frapp.The Chocolate flavor is smooth and sweet.I don't care much for the Vanilla, as it tastes more like plain soymilk than any of the others.The Cappuccino flavor tastes like a nice iced coffee.All of the flavors definitely taste better cold.The drinks are astoundingly large, I was very surprised that they are 16 oz instead of the smaller 12 oz size you typically see in these packages. If you are not entirely starving you may find it difficult to finish one of these!The lids are easy to take off and just involve a simple twist, but they are attached securely enough that it will not come off accidentally. The lids can be refastened if you want to save a portion of the drink for later.

Our family has been struggling to find meal replacements for my 92 year old grandmother that is both good for her and that she thinks tastes good, because she doesn't eat like she use to. We first tried the 11oz 3 flavor variety pack.When grandma liked the creamy and smooth texture of Svelte. As well as liking the flavors she found the 11oz size satisfying for when she wanted something before she went to sleep.We began getting the larger 15oz size when she wanted to have "a little more". Like when she needs to fast for a test. She says these are perfect for those days and if she freezes it the night before she can take it with her to the lab and begin drinking it as soon as the technician is finished.FlavorsChocolate -Hello Beautiful; is one of her favorite flavors. It is a rich chocolate taste that will satisfy those who want chocolate pre-mixed drink.Cappuccino-Enjoy Yourself; my grandma loves her coffee and this is her favorite coffee meal replacement. Liking it better compared to Orgain's Iced Mocha and Coffee Ensure.Chai-Just Your Style: Grandma calls this one Spice Cake because she says it tastes just like your drinking a spice cake and, like the cake she likes this drink in moderation. It is good but not for me every day.Vanilla-Looking Good of the Sevelte flavors vanilla is her least favorite of the five flavors she has tried. When I asked her why? She told me it tastes like when you add too much Vanilla into your recipes and it over powers your sense of taste.Over all it's her favorite liquid meal replacement because it isn't real thin. She would recommend this product to others.

I'm really bad about eating breakfast but I always have coffee. So, I figured I would kill two birds with one stone and get these protein shakes to have as meal replacements some mornings, cappuccino flavor. They are pretty tasty and I am surprised they are so low in sugar - the sweetness is just perfect for me and I don't notice an aftertaste. I have previously used the Click brand shakes in the mornings but honestly, most of the time I'm running out the door without time to use the blender. The Click is delicious for a snack at home with a banana and a blender and ice, but it does not taste good without the use of a blender. Don't listen to what anyone says. :)The 16.9oz are actually quite large. I love that I can add a straw and sip half of it and use the lid to save for later in the morning. A nice meal replacement that is filling.I plan to purchase vanilla next and keep a couple in my fridge at work for those days when I look down and suddenly it's 2pm and I need food but it's kind of too late for lunch but too early for dinner. Or, if I want something sweet, I can take a few sips to satisfy the craving and keep me satisfied until an official snack or meal time. I need to lose weight and one of my problems is skipping meals. This will keep me satisfied and help me monitor calories too.I love that this is organic and has less crud and sugar than say, Slim Fast. That stuff is poison. I have also used the EAS low-carb protein shakes and they are a great choice, I used them more when I was half marathon training or working out harder as breakfast or snacks but I like this flavor.
