## Questions & Answers

**Q: What growing conditions does clivia need?**
A: Indirect sun. They prefer warm weather but do ok in areas that get cooler weather inside.

**Q: My sunroom gets drafty and cold , i am trying to get a flowering plant and came across this. will this grow in new england winter drafty sunroom? thx**
A: I found this information on the web - "Clivia plants tolerate low temperatures down to about 36 degrees F, according to Roger Mercer and Sir Peter Smithers of the International Bulb Society. In winter, the plants need a cool, dry "resting period" where temps drop to 45 to 50 degrees, with daytime highs between 60 and 65 degrees (a warming of about 15 degrees over the day)."
I have had my Clivia plant for about 15 years and sometimes it blooms and sometimes it doesn't. This winter I am going to try a cooler location for it starting in November and hopefully this will be the trick to getting it to bloom each year.

**Q: The plant is stunning! What are the watering and feeding recommendations? When could I replant it?**
A: I repot yearly. And feed quarterly.

**Q: I received a clivia with the flower stem, seems it has already bloomed. Should I cut off the stem?**
A: Do not cut off the stem for awhile. Seed pods will form. Look up online about Clivia and seeds. Many people will buy an sell the seeds.
