It is a really heavy and well designed workbench out of painted box sections that provide a solid and stable surface to work on. Have fitted a heavy vice onto it and other items too, very pleased with it. Please note I had to assemble it in situ as the individual sections are very heavy, but it was worth it! The bench assembles very easily and the result is ace. It clears the skirting boards (the bench top overhangs the legs) and the supports round the back are at a good height not to obstruct sockets. The surface seems tough, with a slightly grained finish that provides a little grip.
