Game changer.
So tired of electric mills that can’t be adjusted and wear out batteries every month. I remembered an “old timey” one my grandmother had when I was little that was similar to this but rustic and made of oak or something. Went searching for that one and found this. Thank goodness! Pepper all day! No more pained hands. No more replacing batteries. Easy to adjust, easy to refill. Just grind and go. I do wish the pepper catching bowl were larger, for when I’m making recipes that require a lot. I also don’t think it gets quite as coarse as my grandmothers, but I’m really satisfied with this one and glad I spent the money.

We love this!
This was exactly what we were looking for in a pepper mil. It’s nice looking and works like it should!

Worth Every Penny
I purchased this for $80. The mill is smaller than advertised, as another reviewer has noted. I like the size, however. My wife had her doubts when I ordered it, but she loved it at first sight. It does a fantastic job of grinding pepper and produces an amazing quantity of pepper per rotation of the handle. The grind is insanely consistent and easily adjustable. The mill is the perfect size to place on the dinner table and will look gorgeous there. Right now, however, my wife is basically sleeping with it like a teddy bear. It's that damn cute. While the reservoir which holds peppercorns and the reservoir in the drawer for the ground pepper could both stand to be enlarged, they are not unreasonably small. One reviewer has stated that it only holds one tablespoons of peppercorns. This is false. It holds more than that. The same reviewer stated that it only holds one teaspoon of ground pepper. This is also false. It holds much more than that. If I ever feel the need, and I doubt I will, I will simply expand the size of the reservoir for ground pepper myself. My wife and I are both the kind of people who unscrew pepper shakers to pour the pepper on our food. It is almost certain that I use more pepper than you, and I anticipate zero problems obtaining all the pepper I want from this thing. I will have to fill the reservoir that holds peppercorns more often than with other mills, but this is not the end of the world. The grinding mechanism has a lifetime warranty on it, and inspection of the mechanism certainly suggests that it is incredibly well-built. The cube itself is rock solid. I really do expect this mill to last a lifetime. Two reviewers have complained that the little knob which opens the compartment to put pepper in broke off. I can certainly see this happening, but it will be a trivial to fix it if and when it does. If you aren't mechanically inclined, the repair would run you a whopping $5 if you have no mechanically inclined friends and had to pay a professional to do it.

Mixed bag: good mechanism but frustrations
The mechanism is good and grinds very evenly, consistently, and quickly. It is ideal for grinding a large quantity of pepper easily, and it has a hole at the bottom so you can remove the drawer to let the ground pepper flow into a large container. However, this retails for $130 and is about $70 from Amazon. For that price, there are lots of unnecessary frustrations and drawbacks.1. The packaging is terrible. The flimsy manufacturer's box had opened, and the grinder had fallen out into the Amazon box. The thin plastic in the manufacturer's box was broken and dislodged, providing no protection. This is a very expensive item designed to look good on the counter! If you are planning to give this as a gift, you could be very disappointed by the massively damaged box when it arrives. And it is very likely that this shoddy packaging could result in a scratched or damaged item.2. The knob on the end of the crank arm squeaks badly. The first thing I had to do was wrap a cloth around the knob and spray it with lubricant, then wipe it down. This should be done in the factory. Unlubricated squealing parts should not be shipped!3. The bottom is smooth, slick wood. The bottom will slide around freely and get scratched on the counter instantly. So, the second thing I needed to do was get some stick-on rubber feet. This should be provided! Even the cheapest little gizmo you can buy will come with stick-on rubber feet. For the price, some high-quality, screw-in rubber feet should be provided! This is the worst kind of petty cost cutting that affects the use and durability of the product significantly.4. It's very hard to fill the grinder. You have to have a funnel to do it without spilling peppercorns everywhere. For a $130 grinder, why is no funnel provided?? People are paying for a high-quality, well made product and are getting less than what is routinely available for 1/3 the cost. The solid wood housing and the grinding mechanism appear to be very well made. The grinder should last a lifetime. But the people in the factory must be frustrated at all of the poor, petty cost-cutting decisions that degrade the reputation and customer satisfaction with the product.

Escasa calidad.
