And when I say it is a very nice sounding sub. I am not sure I have ever heard one hit so deep. But the RMS is flat wrong. I blew it using a 120W Bazooka AMP. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clean, versatile sub... *by R***8 on April 18, 2007* I just put a pair of these in my truck yesterday (4/17/07). I bought these based on the positive reviews I read and so far they seem to be right. The bass is clean and low, especially for a .75 ft3 sealed enclosure. I haven't tried any of the variable Q inserts yet because when I ran the T/S parameters I liked the numbers I got with no insert or (high Q setting) which are an F3=33 Hz, a tuned frequency (Fc) of 41 Hz, and a Q=.94. I listen to many different types of music from hip hop to rock, from reggae to alternative so I needed a sub that was versatile, musical, occasionally loud, but most of all clean. I think these subs will fill the large shoes left by my Phoenix Gold Ti10d's.The only negative I've noticed so far is that the power handling rating might be a bit overstated (something I know almost everybody does). I have my pair running on a JL 1000/1 with the gain a little past half way and I can drive these to distortion without trying too hard. A while back I tried a pair of JL 10W6v2's and I couldn't distort those things without my ears bleeding but the low end in a sealed box was non existent so I didn't stick with them. Don't get me wrong these subs hit hard and low, my pair rumble in a sealed box so I can only imagine what they would sound like ported. I'm just saying that when you list a RMS of 400W and a peak of 1600W it should be a little harder to distort them. Overall I'm pleased with these subs and would recommend them to anyone who wants good clean bass with any type of music and can still turn heads if you throw in a bass CD.
