With proper care I have used the same set of pads for nearly two weeks (twice daily). This is how I do it: 1. Directly after use, remove the pads and wash them in cold running water using your thumbs to scrub the gel surface (warning: the pads will feel slimy, and that's OK). Doing this removes dead skin, hair, sweat and dust. It also introduces moisture back into the gel which is what helps make the pads stick and conduct electricity! 2. Shake the pads of excess water and then place them on a paper towel (sticky side up) for a minute or two. Once the excess water has been removed, transfer the pads to a hard flat surface (sticky side up). Use a few drops of water on the sticky side and press them flat (I use my kitchen counter to do this because it keeps them from forming unwanted curves). 3. Let the pads dry (undisturbed) for about 2 hours (longer is OK, but not too long). 4. Place the pads back on the clear plastic sheet. 5. Repeat after each use.
