## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do you determine whether to use a 120V or 240V?**
A: It depends on what power you have at your panel. I would expect you have 240V breaker(s) for pump(s) and 120V breaker(s) for controls and other devices. Mine runs off 120V, it's just a small solenoid so there's no reason to use 240V unless you have a reason to do that.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐ Didn't last
*by C***F on July 3, 2022*

Lasted about 3 days. The solenoid buzzes when powered on, but it won't activate. Terrible quality. I contacted the seller, and they asked that I contact Hayward first. I will do that, but here we are in the middle of swim season, and my CO2 doser is down. I'll be back to using muriatic acid. I highly doubt this will be resolved anytime soon. I'm ordering a solenoid to replace the Hayward one. I will update this review when I have more information.

Item exactly as described, smooth transaction! Thank you!

### ⭐ Last 3 weeks
*by K***R on December 7, 2023*

This solenoid failed after 3 weeks of use. Pretty sure it is not made for the cold temperatures caused by the CO2. The seal inside broke off of the plunger and now it won't open. I have removed the broken seal so that I can turn the CO2 on and off manually until I can get Hayward to come out and address the issue. Non of their techs seem to have time to come out for warranty work. I have ordered another solenoid from amazon from a different manufacturer and it will be here tomorrow. Maybe this will solve the problem.
