Dries quickly and eyeshadow look cakey

I bought this primer with hopes that make up does not crease around my lids as well as retain my makeup on my eyes. I still have problem with make up fading away by end of work day but definitely do not have problem with makeup being stuck in crease.I apply primer before applying my Estee Lauder eye shadow. I can feel how primer creates nice layer and I no longer have to deal with makeup collecting in my lid even when its hot outside. I really like this primer but now I have to find something that prevents eye shadow from disappearing throughout the day.UPDATE 2 months later: I work in a hot environment with no AC and constantly sweating. I wear this primer almost daily and there is still product in the bottle. No issues at all with make up collecting in my eye lid. Dries fast so I don't have to wait to apply my eye shadow.

This is the first time I've used an eye-primer, and it does what it's supposed to - it keeps eye shadows set and lasts most of the day. However I'm not sure about the whole "suits every skintone" pitch, as I'm Indian and have medium brown skin and this definitely sticks out like badly matched concealer (it doesn't matter as much when I anyway use foundation and concealer, but it can make the concealer I apply over it look much lighter). In addition, if you have any loose tags of skin (sometimes my eyelids flake in the winter) this snags terribly and highlights that bit of the skin, instead of the opposite, which I quite disliked.That said, the eyeshadow lasts. I'm not sure if it's for my skin tone though.

There are so many different varieties of primer on the market. It feels as if I've tried every single one without success . . . until this one! L'Oreal has done a good job making a primer that goes on smoothly and stays on all day. The color seems to match well with all skin types. Once the primer is on, it is barely seen. Drying time is minimal. My eye shadows have never creased once since using this primer; even after an hour workout outdoors in 85% humidity! The package may be small, but a tube typically lasts me 3-4 months. Sometimes it is difficult to get every last drop of primer out of the tube, but I will take out the little plastic "stopper" and that allows me to move the wand around better to get it all! I recommend this one to all my friends. You won't be sorry if you try this primer.

I was looking for an inexpensive eye shadow primer, as I am not big into specialty makeup products. I really wanted something that would keep my eye shadow from creasing and provide a good base. This primer works wonderfully, and I have been using it as a regular part of my makeup routine for about 2 years. Before using the primer, I would apply eye shadow directly to my eyelids. The color was fine but my eye shadow would crease throughout the day. With this primer, my eye shadow never creases. It really gives the eye shadow a nice base to build upon and makes colors brighter. I haven't used the more expensive eye shadow primers, but I don't know why I would ever switch because this one works great and is less than half the price!

Alas, the only part of my entire body that is oily are my eyelids and most eye shadows and liner pencils would disappear after a few hours. This applies easily. One note, this is small container so it doesn't last long...But It Works. So for me it is totally worth it and in the long run I save on eye shadow and eye liner so it's a good deal. I can't always find it at the drug store so I have it regularly shipped with Amazon Subscribe and Save so now i don't have to worry about running out of it and not being able to find it. The only other one I found that is better is a department store brand and it is more expensive (much) and a hassle to buy. Please Loreal...don't discontinue!!

This is not high on my list of good eyeshadow primers, but neither is it on the bottom. I guess it's solidly in the middle. It does work to a certain degree. I have oily lids and am really hard to please in this area. I have tried just about every one they make. But I keep looking. This one is kind of dry. It's not the smoothest to apply, and makes my lids look a bit dried out and older. Yet, I do get some creasing and fading. Not a keeper for me.

I have used Lime Crime's eyeshadow primer for quite a while, and just found out that is has been discontinued. Through my tears, I searched for an affordable substitute and came across Loreal's primer. I do like the applicator. It's easy to spread on your eyelid, then I blend it in further with my fingertip. The primer evens out the color on your eyelid to give you a good base. Unfortunately, this primer doesn't keep my eyeshadow and liner in place like Lime Crime did. My eye makeup will start to wear off in 4 to 6 hours. I would use it for every day, around the house use, but for going out I will have to find a longer-lasting product.

No so great. Was highly recommended to me and searched high and low to find but its crap. Doesn't help to keep eye shadow or concealer around my eyes. Will not buy again especially at the price.
