Nice leash! I buy a new retractable one every year because they take quite a beating from snow, salt water, lake/rain water, sand, dirt, being thrown around. It’s just an extra precaution to get a new one every year just to ensure everything works properly. Nice product. Works as intended and described.

So I spent almost a year on a regular leash with my dog, a maltipoo type mix (not 100% sure we got her from a rescue). On a regular leash she's been fine but we let her sniff where she wants and don't expect her to be leash obedient like a big working dog. She can pretty much do what she wants as she gets enjoyment out of sniffing the neighborhood.We finally decided to get one of these retractable leashes that dog trainers hate. It's been seriously the best thing. My dog doesn't run everywhere out of control. But now she can go that extra distance easily to smell that bush or that patch of grass that was out of reach before. The lock is quick and secure so far. There's an attachment to carry your poop bags that I also love - before I clipped on the free holder that comes with the Amazon bags and it would flop around on my leash all the time and be annoying. The built in bag holder accessory is awesome, no more floppy floppy bang bang.Now if you've ever bought a cheap measuring tape you know the retracting mechanism dies very quickly in a poorly made product. I'm amazed at how solid this one feels and how smooth it is. Granted it's only been a few months but measuring tapes die within a few weeks if they are cheap. This thing feels like it's going to last a while and a lot of reviews seem to confirm that. This is a nicely made product, not a cheaply made knockoff.In any case - for a small dog that doesn't pull and run everywhere this thing is awesome. Walks are easier, my dog has a much wider space to explore and when necessary I can quickly stop her movement.

I have the Flexi 16 foot. I like it enough that I thought I'd try this 26 foot version. The product seems well built and I have no regrets getting it, but if I had to only have one I'd choose the 16' version.I live in city. For most walks the 16' is far more practical. It is smaller, less weight, and keeps my dog at a more controlled distance from me. 16' is more than enough roaming distance most of the time. It is also easy to add an additional length of paracord to give a few feet extra roaming distance when desired.The 26' foot is nice for longer walks where other pets and people are not around. I like using it for park and forest preserve walks. If our walking path is secluded enough I sometimes add an additional 10 foot length of paracord for our walks.

I’m on probably my 5th or 6th of these leashes in probably 12 or so years. I used one in the past for a 120lb male hound dog and now use 2 of them for my 80lb female labs. They hold up really nicely and are very secure when the dogs pull. Over a few years, the retractable leash got a little smelly and that is why is replaced them. I love how they can lock at certain lengths since there is a rural road nearby so I lock them at 3-4ft when a car is coming. I don’t usually leave reviews but I highly recommend these. Love this leash…. Only issue that prevented it being a 5 star is that the bag holder frequently pops off

My dog is about 20 pounds heavy and loves to walk. He cannot be trusted to "mind his manners" and must be on a leash. Many "leash products" available, but many are not very good quality! This one seems good and the "small" size I ordered is compact, strong, and seems reliable.

This retractable dog leash is amazing! We have an 80 lb. Boxer , and we love this leash! It’s extremely lightweight, and easy to handle! It’s tangle resistant and extremely durable!!

Used this to replace the one I had, the spring broke inside. This one works fine and reasonably priced too.

Bought this in January of 2021 for our 75lb lab. It is very well made and puts up with a LOT of abuse. Nice long leash and handy locking mechanism.Our dog can be a good puller when he meets another dog and I have had no concerns or problems with this leash. I have even bought an additional one for when we are taking care of our daughter's retriever.With 2 walks a day, this leash has had a lot of use! It finally gave out last night as the spring broke inside it and it will no longer retract.I am quite happy with getting just under 4 years out of this leash and will be ordering another one!Highly recommended!
