Great choice & value
I only dinged the the easy install because of how this type of mechanism works (compared to traditional recliner mechanisms) & the tight space in which it is installed. It is by NO means the manufacturers fault. It's in the chair design & function in general. Other than that, it has worked great! We even have 2 back ups :)

Perfect replacement for broken Costco sectional recliner
This was an easy replacement for the recliner release on my Costco sectional sofa. The original broke after about a year, so the three-pack seems like a good idea in case the replacement breaks. Installation was easy: 1) Take a picture of the original cable as it is installed. 2) Use a phillips-head screwdriver to remove the 4 screws that hold the handle plate to the couch (save the screws, you'll re-use them with the replacement). 3) Use alligator (needle-nose) pliers to squeeze the back of the black plastic clip that secures the cable to the metal frame, then it just slides out. 4) The end of the cable with the spring and 90-degree bend just angles into a hole on the frame...rotate it and it slides right out. To install the replacement, just reverse the above steps; the black plastic cable clip slides into the frame slot until it clicks and locks in place.

Did the job.
For a few buck I fixed my moving room chairs. Works great. Took about 30 mins to get the old ones out and new ones installed.

Feels "cheap"
These feel thinner than the factory cables. Maybe that's why they come with three in a pack. We'll see how long they last with everyone yanking on them line a parachute cord.

Better than using pliers to open recliners.
The items came just as advertised. The cable little longer than originals but made no difference in installation. Easy to install was not exactly true but was not a product issue. The cushions on the recliner couch do not come out and it was difficult to gain access to the screws holding the originals in and for putting in the new ones. The handles are plastic but then again so were originals. We'll see how long they last. Overall worth the money so far

Feet are up again!
As a universal replacement I can't complain. The measurements were as advertised and its got my feet up again!! The only thing I would warn about is that if you have oversized arm rests (and how broke in they are) the distance between the seat cushion and the bottom of the arm rest may be an issue depending on how the original was mounted. I just moved mine back a pinch and gave it a little more angle and that was good enough for a recliner that should probably be at the curb.

Great value for the price.
Installation difficulty is determined by the couch design actually. If the reclining mechanism is not blocking the retaining screws like it was in my case, then it’s a breeze. I had to release a reclining mechanism bolt and move it enough to where I could get my screw driver in to unscrew the old and replace it with the new. Once I figured out how to do that the part worked like a charm.

TherRecliner is back and working
The cable on my recliner broke. It appears that the existing stranded cable is minimal quality. We didn't use the recliner that much. I installed the replacement cable without much issue. I did have to file the holes where the cable is screwed to the recliner. I didn't see this to be a ding against the review. It is hard to make a universal cable for all brands of recliners. One thing to make sure is to order a cable as near as possible to your existing cable length. This will make your installation as simple as possible without having to route the replacement cable different from the original path.
