Killer Bunnies: The Best Game Ever
Let me start out by saying that the game is not as violent as the name implies. Just as games such as Sorry, Chess, and Risk involve "taking out" other players or making them start over, so does Killer Bunnies (but with more fun specifics). Please note that this is an elaborate, crazy fun card game - there is no board involved but you still need plenty of room to play. Also, after the Blue Starter Deck, there are 10 additional booster packs which MUST be purchased in order. Visit [...] to view the correct order.PREMISE/SUMMARY: I'm going to begin by giving a brief overview of the game. Everyone is dealt seven cards, two of which must be placed face down in front of the player. These are your next two moves. This game is focused around strategy and making decisions in advance. Now, most cards will have a pink bar on the bottom left hand side indicating that you must have a bunny to play. There are different types and colors of bunnies which become more and more significant with each booster. A bunny is like the foundation to the game. Without a bunny, you sit through the game watching other people play essentially. A bunny allows you to purchase things (using Kaballa Dollas) from stores, play weapon cards attacking other people's bunnies, and play most of the other interesting and unique cards. As I just mentioned, you can purchase things from stores - mainly carrots. This brings me to the purpose of the game: having in your possession the winning carrot. Based on how many booster packs you have, there will be a certain amount of carrots. For our purposes, we'll say 20. Now, when the last of those carrots are acquired, the game is officially over. Whoever does not have a bunny at the end of the game has to give their carrots to someone else (thereby taking themselves out of the running). The winner is determined by a "luck of the draw". A small mini deck portraying the carrots is hidden and shuffled at the beginning of the game and whoever has the last carrot in the stack is the winner. In other words, the point of the game is centered around acquiring carrots and doing so requires you to attack other people's bunnies with weapons cards to disable them from getting more or forcing them to give them up at the end of the game. It's focused around strategy and planning your moves.RULE BOOK/EXPLANATIONS: Please note that there are a lot of explanations that go along with the cards in the directions but sometimes not enough for your specific question. What I have learned is that if it is not in the rule book, it's okay to come up with some house rules. Stay consistent though!NUMBER OF PLAYERS: Also, the more the merrier. I know it says on the box that there is a limit to how many people play but I would pretty much add 2-3 people in number to the max per booster deck you have. Playing the game with only two people can get pretty boring after awhile.NEGATIVE REVIEWS: While this game does overwhelm at first, it is well worth it. I have read some of the negative reviews and I can see their point - reading through mass amounts of directions can be tedious and boring and confusing. It is much easier to learn this game with someone else explaining it to you in a practice game. That is how I learned it and that's how I teach everyone else. It's always a little daunting when you dive into it and the game isn't for all, but it is well worth the try.CONCLUSION: This is a fun, exciting, unique, hilarious, colorful game! I recommend this game for ALL ages. While a little complicated at first to learn, you will soon pick up on the wonders and just plain awesomeness that is this wonderfully intriguing game. Each time you draw another card, you will be amazed by the sheer creativity and imagination that went into the creation of this game. I agree with another reviewer - this is a 10 star game.

Killer Bunnies is the game that got me into gaming
Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot is a card game developed by Jeffrey Neil Bellinger and published by Playroom Entertainment. Some praise the game for its smart mechanics while others criticize the randomness. Differing opinions aside, Killer Bunnies is the game that got me into gaming. A few years ago I'd be happy to challenge you to a round of Apples to Apples or Imaginiff. Now I'm ready to team up and save the world in Pandemic.Killer Bunnies is more complicated than your typical card game. But I've taught over 20 people and everyone's picked it up within a few rounds. The instructions are written extremely well, but I can understand someone getting overwhelmed on a first read (particularly because I was one of those people). There are 12 Carrot Cards in the game. The main objective is to collect them. Once the last Carrot Card is drawn, the game is over, and one of those carrots is randomly selected as the winner. The more carrots you have, the higher your chances are of being the winner. This is a primary complaint that some people have with the game. "In the end, the game is just a lottery." To that I say:Yep.But strategy is also important. The secondary objective is to have as many bunnies out on the table as possible while simultaneously killing your opponents' bunnies. If the final Carrot Card is drawn and you have no bunny, all your carrots are forfeited and you have no chance of winning. Without strategy early on, you can't enter the lottery.Because of this, Killer Bunnies is a great example of harmony between chance and strategy. Everyone competes until the very end, as opposed to other games in which a single player dominates and no one has a chance to take them down. As long as you have a one bunny and a one carrot, you can win.The game allows for trading, which leads to additional layers of strategy (read: bribery, extortion, and back-stabbing). I probably lose a friend a month to this game.Worth it.You can attack your opponents through a variety of methods. Nearly anything you can imagine doing to your opponents exists on a card. Do they have more carrots than you? Steal them. Do they have 10 bunnies and you have 2? Wipe them out with a multi-target range weapon. The somewhat endless possibilities of Killer Bunnies is enhanced by the 10 booster decks. Each booster adds new elements and a ton of new cards. Some people have complained that there are too many boosters. To that I say:Don't buy all of them.If you like the base game, get the Red Booster. If you like that, get Violet. Repeat until you're overwhelmed and on the verge of tears. The starter set is more than adequate for casual game nights. If you're interested in journeying down the rabbit hole, I recommend starting with Killer Bunnies and the Conquest of the Magic Carrot starter deck, which is the latest and greatest version of the classic game.

Fun to learn how to play
This is a great game. I was impressed by the quality of the cards, dice etc. It is a bit hard to understand how to play at first. But they give you 2 books with instructions and tips. Once we figured it out, it was really fun. I can't wait to expand the game. This particular box gave me the extra deck. So I feel it was a great deal.

AMAZING
I love this game I play it all the time with my friend. She bought it a couple of years ago. On the 14october 2021 my order did not make International shipping. So I bought it. It took a month to come. Not surprised because it came from the states. My friends box is a bit bigger and it came a little dented but I was not shocked. It did come 14 hours away. I play this game non stop with my brother. And can’t wait for when I get add ons.

It would be fun for adults too
When we got this it was a little intimidating - we started out playing with half the deck until we got the hang of it. Now it is a tradition every night for myself and my two daughters, 5 and 10, to play this every night after dinner. We simplify a bit for the youngest, but it's a really adaptable game, you can make up rules, remove some of the harder cards, or keep your hand visible. It would be fun for adults too, can't wait to try it with grown ups so I can be a bit more cutthroat! My mom who is in her 70's loves this as well, and has bought it for other family members.full disclosure: Grampa and Dad found it boring, but the girls in the family think this game is a blast, we almost don't want to play anything else. Nothing girly about it "shrug" they just have poor taste lol. I think tweens or anyone who likes more involved games like setters of catan would appreciate this.

Fun times!
This was purchased as gift at Christmas time and has already afforded much entertainment and enjoyment. It does take some time the first couple of times you play, to get used to the setup and the rules. However, once you catch on, it's just a lot of fun and a lot of laughs. Just make sure you thoroughly read the instructions, and keep them handy the first few times you play.We found it to be a great mix of strategy and luck. The tongue in cheek humour was also appreciated by us all. Overall, it's a great game and we can't wait to purchase some extensions for it.
