At the hint of that first itchy/burning sensation of a cold sore starting, this stuff stops it in its tracks. I tend to get them in the extreme cold and heat and have not had one since I bought this. I had one that healed before I bought it and was searching for a product out of frustration when I found this. I highly recommend it.
