While I was at a high school reunion and feeling awkward about this (it was in Hawaii), my daughter recommended this leg makeup. I bought some and tried it, and was quite impressed. It is better than self-tanner which makes the spots darker, and it does not have the obnoxious after-smell. It is temporary (comes off in the shower or bath), and it does rub off on clothes. I let it "dry" for over an hour, instead of a minute, and it colored the inside hems of my shorts. With a pre-wash spray, the color did come off. But it gives my legs a soft light tan that works for the hot days of summer. UPDATE: This rubs off on dark pants as well as light colored shorts or jeans or slacks, even if I let it "set" for 3 hours.
