Colonial Rose Bedspread, King, French Blue

Absolutely love my bedspreads! I ordered queen for my full Iron bed, I only did that because my iron bed sets up really high so I wanted to make sure it hanged down to the floor. It worked out well. It is very true to size because I had it on the queen bed before and it was perfect. The French blue color is on a queen bed, fit great. Love the pattern, it’s just wonderfully made. The quality is great. Soft, thin yet has that perfectly weight to it. Just like it was growing up, (memories.) I was worried about the color being like the Photo advertised , yellow more. It was not, The backside is more darker but the front is lighter color- just the right color. Antique look, beautiful. Thank you.

The "Colonial Rose" bedspread is a great weight for the warmer months. It is a lovely all-over pattern, and very well made. The pattern shows beautifully in the Linen color. Unfortunately the Linen color is mingled with Antique color which is too yellowish for my room. I use true white color throughout my home which makes the Antique color look dirty and very blah. I really wish Maine Heritage Weavers would offer their Linen color mingled with true White as an alternative option. I returned the Colonial Rose Linen bedspread simply because I did not like the Antique color that was used in the weave and for the fringe. Instead I ended up buying their "Spirit of America" terry bedspread in solid White color. I really wanted the matelasse weave, but the patterns do not show well in solid white, which is why I finally chose the terry bedspread, sometimes referred to as a hobnail bedspread.

I rarely, if ever, write a review for a product on Amazon, but this purchase was EXACTLY what I wanted. It's so difficult to find a bedspread these days. Seems everything is a duvet or a coverlet. I wanted a king size bedspread that goes to the floor, would cover the pillows, could be washed and dried in my home, and was a pattern I could live with. The Maine Heritage Weavers makes a beautiful product and so worth the money. It took me a while to find exactly what I was looking for as I'm always a bit apprehensive about purchasing something like this online. I want to see and feel the material before I spend my money on it. Also, computer monitors as well as camera's don't always reflect the correct color of a fabric. This spread is lovely, the color is exactly as described, it's well-made and worth every penny! Purchased it on Amazon on a Friday and it was here the following Monday!

Bates bedspreads never disappoint. The quality of the spread is exceptional; the pattern and trim are beautiful. I ordered this spread to replace another Bates Maine Heritage Weavers spread that I have had for 20+ years. The spread that I am replacing is still in great condition, it has just gotten a little smaller for my queen bed after years of machine washing and drying. I am confident that the new replacement will perform just as well. I would categorize the weight as light to medium. Not too heavy, not too flimsy. The price for the bedspread was extremely reasonable! I would definitely purchase it again!

I finally ordered this for my guest bedroom when the price dropped, and although it’s a little thin, I am very happy with the look of this bedspread! It goes perfectly with the quilt I have been n this room. Minus one star for the excess material on the corners, which I trip on as I move around the bed if not tucked in. But overall I really like this bedspread and hope it will last a long while!

I love the beautiful and simple elegance of this bedspread. Reminds me of days gone by. I've struggled for the last time with my king sized duvet cover, dust ruffle, etc. and am so happy to go back to the real bedspreads that I had growing up. In fact, I've already ordered another Maine Heritage Weavers spread for my guest bedroom. I do have a king pillow top mattress with a quilted mattress cover so the spread does not reach all the way to the floor but as far as I'm concerned it keeps everything cleaner looking. The linen background color is a little richer than depicted with a true off white design. I tried a "cream" afghan on it and the cream looked yellow, so no gold tones here. It's a quality bedspread and I am truly pleased.

I like this bedspread. I wanted a thin, cotton spread and this is it. The description did correctly describe it. It is not quilted, but has a design woven into the material. I have washed it twice. I did not put it into the dryer but followed the instructions and line dried it. It did not shrink, but I'm sure it would if you put it into a dryer. It is an ample sized twin and falls to the floor on both sides.
