They are made of a resin and have a slightly hefty weight compared to the plastic ones by Boye, only by a fraction of an ounce but it may make a difference if I did a LOT of chunky work, and since they are standard length with that extra heft it might affect balance and comfort, but for occasional use should be fine. I would have preferred a hollow handle but not a deal breaker. Some of the hooks had rough spots at the hook end, but a few swipes with an emery board and they are fine. The sizes are labeled in black print on ends in mm. The little bonus accessories are same quality you get at hobby store, I was surprised to get hooked needles, they are difficult to find and I'll definitely be using.
