I bought this replacement keyboard several months ago because the keyboard on my Dell Studio 1558 laptop went on the fritz and would sometimes not type different letters or symbols. Had I known how easy and cheap it was to replace the keyboard, I would have not put up with it for so long. I didn't receive any instructions on how to remove the old keyboard and replace it with this one but was able to look it up online. It took me about 15 minutes to remove and replace it and I was all set. I like the feel of the keys and they feel sturdy so I hope these will last longer than the three years I got out of the original Dell Studio keyboard. While this keyboard did not have back-lighting like the original and has slightly different colors/keys, they do work as advertised. I'm not sure if I missed the back lighting because I rarely type in the dark anyways. However, I believe that a version with back lighting is available. Overall, I would recommend this item and this seller so I would give it a 4.6/5.0. - 07/25/2014

I put up with missing keys for a few months on my Studio 1535, then my cat decided to sleep on it while I got up to do something else. It was too dirty to be properly cleaned at that point, plus it would've cost about the same to replace all the keys, so I went with this.It only took me about 10 minutes to put it on, I've never changed any part on a laptop before, so you'd definitely call me a beginner for that kind of stuff, I watched a video on YouTube that showed me how. The hardest part was finding the proper screwdriver, heh. No troubles, no missing keys. A little dirty, but that's because I haven't cleaned it within the last few days.

LotFancy keyboards are a must buy. These cheaper keyboards are a total and complete solution. Keyboards have a tendency to have small pits in them where liquid can pool if you spill in your laptop. I'm not 100% sure if that's really by design, as an IT professional, but this is one of the easiest repairs you can do on a laptop. So many people call my company and tell me that they spilled into the keyboard, and everything works except that. There's usually only one or two screws, if any, under the keyboard. Then a lot of times theres some clips at the top of the keyboard that can be tricky. If there's no clips there's always 2 or 3 screws on the top of the keyboard (on the front) that are holding the keyboard down.

Overall this keyboard did the job I needed it to do. My current labtop keyboard was missing more than half th keys due to my two year old being alittle to curious one afternoon. Very easy to order this product and only took two days to come in thank to Amazon Prime. Husband was able to replace keyboard in a matter of a few minutes and I have been a happy momma ever since. The only down side to the product is that it doesn't have the volume key up and down like my other keyboard had, but no big deal for me.

I bought this Keyboard since my old one was missing two buttons and was in Danish (bought the computer in Europe). This Keyboard makes it feel like the computer is new, if it was not for all the scratches on the mousepad it would even look new with this keyboard installed. This keyboard is really the way I want it, the buttons give me resistance when I type but not too much resistance, just the right amount. I would with out a doubt recommend this to anyone who needs a replacement keyboard for their dell.

Very impressed. I was expecting the quality to be a bit lower than the original keyboard, but it is actually identical. The keyboard was packaged nicely without a lot of bulk or waste. There are no instructions included for installation, but I was able to find a video on YouTube that guided me through the steps. My five-year old laptop works great, but was looking shabby. With this replacement keyboard, it is like new.

I bought this to replace the keyboard on my old Dell Studio 1535. The printing on the keys is a little lower quality, but other than that, it's identical to my old keyboard. Great buy.

Nice keyboard and works fine. Only difference is the keys on my original were silent and this board has slight click sound when pressing on each key but otherwise a fine keyboard.
