Critically flawed
I had the more expensive, metal version but I lost it and decided to replace it with this cheaper, plastic one. It is terrible by comparison. The biggest problem is that the laser light starts fading mid-way through a battery charge and will no longer show when using the regular light at the same time. it is also not very bright and blurry because no matter how tightly you fix this to the handlebar, it will vibrate due to being too light. The rubber bands provided to fix it to the handlebar are of questionable quality: the first one I had snapped off after a week of use.Overall this feels cheap and compromised just to achieve the lower price tag — the value and the user experience are very poor.

Okay but very overpriced for the functionality
I've had this over a year now and used it daily for my commute (until lockdown!). The main differentiator for me choosing this light was the laser which I expected to be something like that on the Boris/Santander bicycles in London. However this laser is very weak indeed and as such has zero practical use. For me that was a big part of the reason why I was prepared to spend £70 on this light so I'd value the remaining functionality at about half of that. The flashing white light has 4 modes of which I only use 2 and they're okay but I've seen plenty of cyclists with much brighter lights. Next time I'd look for a brighter light in the £30 - £50 range.I've just seen this now has a selling price of £105 which is absolutely ridiculously overpriced in my opinion.

Broke after three rides
Jammed when trying to remove from the bracket after just the third ride and when it did come away it was without a bit of the plastic which had sheered off. The rubber band that holds the bracket to the handlebars then snapped when I tried to remove that. Cannot comment on the battery life as I never got a chance to run it down. Clip was terrible and does not seem fit for purpose.

Thoroughly Disappointed With the Quality - 2nd Replacement Broke Within A Year
Having first bought the more expensive version for £125 that broke (terrible bracket design), I had hoped that the company would improve on the second generation model. It hasn't at all, and this cheaper version is even worse. Not only I have the same issue with a cheaper built and equally terrible bracket (drops whilst riding on busy London commute, terrifying moments on London Bridge), the quality is so bad that the plastic parts begin to chip off within a year. The laser light projected is blurry due to the cheap plastic band that holds the light, the projected image constantly shakes and is impossible for pedestrian or driver to see what image is on the road. The first Laser Light Core I received stopped working after 3 months for some reason - the laser just stopped working. I was sent a replacement and after 6 months of using the replacement the bracket stopped working - the cheap plastic "fins" began to bend and then snapped. The light progressively gets worse after every fall. Now I can't use the light without it falling within minutes of being on the road. I doubt the company even tested the design of their brackets on the road, it is that terrible. As their kickstarter backer I am thoroughly disappointed with their products.
