Size:B (42" - 55") DR-HO's 2-in-1 back relief belt is a stretch and support belt that offers traction therapy in the comfort of your own home. Wrap the belt around your waist and wear it as an activity belt to provide support for your core while helping you maintain your posture. You can also inflate this belt using the high-efficiency hand pump, transforming it into a rigid lumbar support. This will allow the belt to expand vertically to support your upper body weight while stretching the lower back muscles and decompressing the pressure off your aching back. Get similar results of an inversion table without hanging upside down. This belt can help relieve back pain, hip pain, sciatica and pain caused by degenerated or herniated discs. Wear the belt for daily activities such as walking, standing, sitting, gardening, golfing and more. For sizing of the belt, please measure in inches around at the level of the belly button, and select size a for 25 to 41 inches, and size b for 42 to 55 inches. Instructions: 1) Wrap the belt loosely around the lower back. The bottom edge of the belt should be sitting on the pelvic crest (hip bones). Holding the thin velcro strap with your right hand, and holding the loop at the top of the inner flap with your left hand, pull outwards to tighten the belt. At this point, the belt can be worn as is for support and stability. 2) To inflate, connect the hand pump to the belt's air intake tube by fastening the connectors (operates like a screw). 3) Use the hand pump to inflate the belt by pulling all the way out and pushing all the way in. Repeat this motion to fully inflate the belt. Size A belts require approximately 25 pumps and Size B belts require approximately 35 pumps. ***Please note that all pumps have an auto-release air valve to prevent over-inflation of the belt. Do not use other pumps with this belt. 4) The inflated belt can be worn for 30-60 minutes. 5) Using the air release key that is stored on the front of the belt, insert the key into the air intake tube's nozzle to release the air. Air must be released before you remove the belt from your lower back. Do's: - - Wear the belt (inflated or deflated) for activities that aggravate your back pain. - For the first few days, wear the inflated belt for periods of 20-30 minutes to allow your body to adjust to the traction. This can be repeated several times throughout the day. - Inflate the belt for decompression therapy to decompress pressure off of your lower back. You can do this while sitting, lying down, or doing different activities. - For best results, prop two pillows under the knees and lie down on your back with the inflated belt on. Rest for 20-30 minutes. This position allows your lower back muscles to relax.Don'ts: - Do not wear this in water. - Do not wear the inflated belt for extended periods of time before giving your body an adjustment period. Wear the inflated belt for 20-30 minutes at a time, repeating 3-4 times through the day for the first few days using the belt. - Do not use any other pump aside from the pump that comes with the belt package.

To my surprise, IT WORKS
I am not a big review writer but I felt compelled to write this one. I have been a back pain sufferer for thirty five years. I have a degenerative disk in my lower back that has gotten worse over the years. I have tried everything to relieve the pain and to try to live a normal life.My daughter bought this belt for me for my birthday as I never would have, as it seemed like just another gimmick to pray on pain sufferers like me.To my surprise, it has been it has done wonders for my pain.It gives just enough traction to significantly reduce the pain.As any of you know, who have constant lower back pain it is hard to think about anything else when it is acute. This belt can help. I am not a spokesperson for this company, I am a sufferer, and if my comments can help another sufferer I would be thrilled. Larry

Thank you for giving me my husband back
My wonderful husband had been suffering from a debilitating back injury caused by degeneration and severe herniation of the L4 and L5 discs for 2 yrs. it's been a long and arduous journey for him and for us as a family. He's undergone several operations, injections and therapies including some holistic approaches. Nothing seemed to work and if it did, was very short lived. For those of you who are reading this who have either been suffering from back pain or caring for a loved one who has you'll understand completely when I say, that the injury doesn't just effect you physically but equally of the mind and spirit. I watched my husband go from being the biggest enthusiast of life, of his trade and of his family to a mere shadow of himself pushing through pain barriers most wouldn't experience in a week let alone 2 yrs. I write this review with the deepest gratitude as my husband and my child's father is, for the first time making a miraculous come back entirely because of the DrHo Physio belt. Within 10 minutes of him wearing it he felt the pain ease off. After 2 hrs and the recommended time to do the traction ( pumping the belt up) he was no longer experiencing in his terms the "chronic pinching" and sciatic pain that even the strongest pain medications he was on couldn't and didn't take away. I saw the pain in his eyes leave him and the promise that my incredibly strong husband was going to be ok. I have been writing a day by day journal for the last 3 weeks that he has been using the belt of his recovery. He would wake every morning with the pain scale of the highest 10's and after pain medication 7's throughout the day. But this changed immediately for him after he started using the belt. The first 2 mornings he woke with the pain level of 3's then after traction zero's!!! Nothing!! On day 3 he woke with no pain at all! The most amazing thing about this belt is that while he wears it most of the day and sleeps with it on, when he takes it off to let his skin breath the pain doesn't return! My husbands doctor and physiotherapist who have been on this journey with him since the beginning of his injury are absolutely blown away with his recovery. This belt has given my husband back the quality of life he has desperately missed. If you or your loved one is experiencing the same kind of journey he has I encourage you to give it a try. I read all there was to read about this belt before purchasing it. Positive and negative feedback too. My conclusion is it works for my husband and does all it claims to do and more, much like it has for many other ppl who have suffered with similar injuries for the similar amount of time. If my review on this product gives one person the encouragement to try it out and it works just as well as it has for us, I'll be wrapped to have helped in some small way as living pain free after so long is an absolute gift. I hope it works for you too!Thank you Amazon for the quick delivery of the belt and excellent customer service.

Interesting design, but uncomfortable
When I got the belt it wouldn't hold air. I thought I had a defective unit. When I pumped it up I would feel it inflate, then slowly leak out within 15 second. I took it off, looked for a valve thinking I might need to read the directions ;-) to learn how to make it hold air. Then I pumped it up without it being around my waste to listen for the leak, I couldn't find anything, no valve, no leaks sounds. Then I put it back around my waste and pumped it up again, and it held. I didn't find anything, however out of the blue it started holding the air like it supposed to. I'm not sure what was wrong, but this was a bad first impression, making me worry about if it would fail in 2 or 3 months from now. My confidence was impacted. So I wore the belt for a day around the house, adjusting the air pressure to various levels to get the optimal stiffness in the belt without being too uncomfortable. It seemed to work, however to get the same support that my old back brace belt provided it was more uncomfortable. The air channels may have been why it felt worse than a standard back brace belt. The top edge of the Ho belt would dig into my ribs when I had the air adjusted to what provided me with the desired back support. After comparing the another elastic back brace belt to the Ho belt, I came to the conclusion the Ho belt wasn't worth the money. It didn't work right, wasn't any more supportive than a traditional elastic back brace belt. The theory behind Ho belt seemed good, they have a good marketing pitch. The air channels support the vertical stiffness to keep the belt pressure even from top to bottom. A standard elastic back brace belt is weaker at the top and bottom edge. However I found out this weakness was a good thing for comfort and it can be used all day if needed. The Ho Belt clearly stated on the product that you should not use it with air inflated for more than an hour at a time, however without the air inflation you can use the Ho belt all day. This isn't obvious when you buy it, you learned that AFTER to get it, when you read the directions. It sounds like a liability disclaimer statement, but I thought it was a bit shady they don't tell you that in the Amazon ad.I'm sending my Ho belt back. a regular elastic back brace belt costs about $25 . Those are much cheaper and works better. The Ho belt is not easy to conceal under your clothes, it's too bulky, easily noticed through clothing. Search on "Mueller Lumbar Back Brace" in Amazon and you'll find what I like better, for a fraction of the cost. This belt has much thinner materials and it hides behind a shirt and pants much better, not to mention it's also more comfortable. Keep in mind these belts need to be worn slightly below the belt line to support the back correctly, so thin materials is essential if you want to use the same waist size pants. The Mueller product work better for that.Save the money, use a regular elastic back brace.

Sorry Dr. Ho, this thing doesn't deliver.
Sounds good in principal, but when inflated it only slides on and/or stretches the skin...it offers no decompression to the spine.
