Why HITBOX MIG 200 A ???
My choosing, selecting, testing, and really great results at the end of the day, after searching for my Dream Welding Machine (DWM) in so many proposals and promotional jungles.THE PURPOSES:Alteration of the Standard retail sales equipment; Development of the Bespoke retail equipment (MS steel 0.8-1.5 mm, rarely 4-6 mm; SS 0.5-1.2 mm);Developing and building up customized tools and devices (Steel: 10-20 mm)tor the production of the different Stands and Displays for the Retail Sales Points, andMany other different, and casually needs.THE CRITERIA:Able to use at any site, away from my workshop, having the simple Single phase power supply;Capacity, not less than 200 Amps, with average duty cycle, about 60% or greater.Equipped by MMA, MIG, and TIG options, at least DC, because of AC/DC will come too expensive;Able to provide definitely nice and durable welding seam, acceptable even on the visible surface of the Retail equipment. At the same time, along with so wide and high expectations of the technical criteria and capacities, Investment in that should be in the range of the Economy Class.RESULTS:After purchasing all of the accompanied things and devices, e.g. Argon and Mixture cylinders, Gas regulators, Grinders, Cutting and Bending devices and so many other small things, the needful to be able to start our new business direction described above, finally I was ready to test My New Adult Boy Toy – HITBOX MIG 200 AMy goal was to achieve for experienced welders very well-known lovely MIG song testifying to the well-balanced values of the Ampere, Voltage, and Wire-feed. It should sound like a cicada’s song. Not a rude, not an intermittent, at the same time not hissing when you seeing just a melted metal in the wide welding pool. My goal was to achieve that typical nice MIG song.IT'S DONE (!)The next will be just a routine hand experience relevant to the Gas consumption, length of the welding wire out of the MIG torch (the distance), movement and and variable angles of the MIG torch, depending on the needs for the deep on shallow penetration, depending on to the welded materials, especially if the different thicknesses of them.SATISFACTION.At the moment I'm so satisfied with the results achieved with the HITBOX 200 MIG option, especially with the fantastic Synergic Feature, allowed to simply increase or decrease the power of the welding, by the Amperage adjustment only, due to Voltage will follow to your once adjusted balance between them.By the 2 hours’ exercises, I have achieved really wide ranges of the welding seam, able to penetrate THROUGH (!!!) 4 mm plaint MS detail placed on the welding table (A/V 130/19.4) and just by the reducing amperage (voltage comes down automatically) to weld 0.5 mm pieces of small MS sheets not only by the fixing spots but even by the nonstop seem. (A/V 80/16.5 | 60/15.6 | 50/15.2 | 40/14.8)RECOMMENDATION for the UNITWELD team:Simple Setup chart should be available e.g. in the machine spool cover, to avoid the upset of the beginners, and make the life easier for any welder, owner of their DWM (decoding of abbreviation see above)MY PERSONAL EVALUATIONof the HITBOX MIG 200 a (MIG device):IT IS AWESOME, WELL DONE AND COMPLETELY MEET MY EXPECTATIONSTherefore, I RECOMMEND CHOOSING THIS MODEL if your targets and purposes are more or less similar to my criteria, described above.***********************About the TIG device:I’ll give my feedback a bit later on.I should adjust the Gas inlet connection for that.Meanwhile, the first impression I already can say:So, if you carefully read the description and compare it with the proposal of the HITBOX MIG 200 A, you will recognize the TIG as an option, only, but this particular device is NOT INCLUDED in the package that I got in my hands :(However, after a short written interaction with UNITWELD Team, by the efforts from Mrs. Cynthia, particularly, finally I get the TIG torch as well, as a promotional option, just it took time. Now I should solve the Gas inlet connection with an existing connection in the original version. Therefore, Guys, see you soon, after I will test that one.I really hope that I'll be the same nice surprised for the TIG capability as well.BR Valdis (UAQ)

This welder is nothing short of amazing
This welder does a fantastic job all the way through 5/16" steel. The feed works great as well.

Couldn't give it a fair try, wrong tips.
This is the first negative review I have ever given. *** but read the update*** I was sent 3 tips for the mig torch every one of them was too small I.D. to run .024 or .030 even. They sent me some flux wire that is close to .045. You can imagine how anxious I was to take this supposed great machine for the money to my shop and be impressed. I even took a friend with me who was also hopeful waiting for me to be the guinee pig before he bought one himself. A hobart 140 tip would thread in, but it is half as long and their nozzle is so long. We actually attempted to drill the hole out in their tip, but apparently there is a ceramic piece in the tip. I broke three tiny bits trying this feat. Still determined to run this, we were about to cut the nozzle down, but then I said "two tears in a bucket". I slammed all that unpacking right back in the box and stuck it under a workbench probably where it will remain. Honestly, the unit didn't look too bad, and most everything appeared to be of decent quality manufacture. I can't find those long tips anywhere. Almost bought another mig torch, but one thing these sellers are not specifying are the wire/tip sizes. HITBOX, UNITWELD, correct the problem and I will update this review. I will also give you a youtube video review when it will finally works.***UPDATE*** I bought another mig torch lead and gave it a try. Have used the machine with gasless wire 1mm for a few hours. I usually don’t use flux core but I thought I would try it so I could have a road mig with no bottle. So far, it’s great. Runs much hotter than you think, burned a hole right through some 3/16” so I turned it way down. It runs a good bead, I am a Miller guy with 2 xmt304s and an xmt450. This tiny rig does well. I built a small table for it. Would be a 5 star review but I had to get a lead, oh and the ground lead is too short for me. Just want to give a fair review, it welds as good as a miller, great bang for the buck.

Compact machine with a lot of potential!
I'm not a professional welder, only have about ~8hrs of torch time welding around the house, yard.Have only tried this machine for flux-core MIG (FCAW) for now.Welds in the pictures are on 11gauge steel. Had the machine on 145A, 16-17V.Machine feels well built!All-metal feed roller mechanism, decent connectors, MIG torch feels solid, even the side cover is thick enough to feel sturdy, unlike some other low-cost machines.Setup was relatively easy, used a Miller welding chart to get starting values for Amps & Volts based on the metal I was welding. Adjusted the settings from there. See images for some of the welds after about 1/2hr of messing around.Pros:- Well built- Cost- Easy polarity swap- Compact- Decent welds, especially given lack of experienceCons (or more precisely things that could be improved):- Setting chart on the inside cover. Other reviewers have stated it already.- Manual could be improved, it covers a wide range of machines of different series but doesn't go into enough detail.- Wire feed adjustment. I understand that the machine automatically adjusts wire feed speed based on amperage setting but it would be nice to have manual override. Not sure what's up with the sales ad for this machine, a burly, 1/2naked guy arc-welding.If that's supposed to be "this machine will put hair on your chest" I'm guessing it will do the opposite :)

died after 30 minutes
Mig seemed to work OK, lift tig worked 1 out of every 20 tries. never attempted stick. The second weld session never got underway: the volt/amp controls locked up - unit became non-adjustable and non-responsive.Cool little welder at a great price - seems like corners were cut in the circuitry.Buy at your own risk.-T
