Great setup and usability, but the frame for the lower compartment sits below the (insufficient) back padding and digs into your back. Very uncomfortable to carry any distance with all the weight driving a thin, hard edge into your lower back.

this is a great bag, feels very high quality.. like many other bags on the market, this shows the three pistol bags being stored in a hard plastic container.. with three hand guns in the bags, it's a very tight fit, and I mean your cramming the cases in there, my solution was to slide out the hard plastic caging and I was able to fit the three pistol bags in there nicely, bag still sat up right as well... the main compartment at the top is plenty big for a trip to the range.. the pocket on the side expands out quite a ways so I think you could do some decent packing in that as well.. the water bottle holder on the side, is big enough to carry over ear protection.. molle stitching everywhere, straps feel strong, handle on top feels well reinforced but only time will tell! the three pistol cases are fleece lined and will offer plenty of protection.. minus one star for all three bags not being able to be used at once, with the plastic liner inside only two of the pistol cases can be used, three is just not an option unfortunately.. fast shipping, awesome packaging, bag didn't arrive smashed flat like others.. the price point seems right.
