Patterns were received ahead of schedule, and along with the tracing paper, provided a grand experience in the fabrication. I combined the Joseph, Mary and our Savior into a single piece and am glad that I did. We have received many comments fromneighbors, friends and passersby about its beauty. At first I thought it was too small, but once completed and assembled, it is just perfect. I purchased marine plywood for the project which is a little rough for best results, even with significant sanding. The shadow on the background (garage) is a special treat

We love it, and out neighbors love seeing it during Christmas as well!Remember to use marine-grade paint to keep it looking nice. :)The plans come with a diagram for getting the most out of a sheet - useful enough, though a good CNC can do it faster and better than a jigsaw. Look to a local cabinet shop to help you if you are not handy. :)

As I was anxious to receive the pattern as soon as it arrived I started to work immediately. After a couple of days on and off I was ready to paint it and it turned out GREAT. I set a base for it and positioned it in front of a maple tree, I anchored down, I added a couple of straw bundles on the sides and a red spot for the night viewing. It was really easy to trace it and then cut it.It really looks Fantastic in front of the house.....!!!!

This was a great item I consider my self to basically have no skill what so ever in this department and I was able to complete this project. I think you could get away without useing transfer paper, I did use it and felt like it would have been easy to just trace the pattern and way less time consuming.

We finally got around to making this nativity scene more than a year after purchasing the plans. We also purchased the tracing paper, but didn't need it. Everything fit together perfectly and we were proud to display the REAL meaning of Christmas!

We were very pleased with the directions and the diagrams about how to lay out the pattern and put it together. I did think the paper would be a little heavier because we hope to make several of them, but this is the first time we have tried something like this so it may be perfectly normal for wood patterns. We're done with the cutting and everything fits together very well. I think we'll be very happy with its all sanded and painted.

The pattern had to be cut out and taped together, so it was a bit more work than necessary. Watch the confusing directions relating to the pattern for the rails closely - it's easy to get this part wrong.
