I love this case
I love this case! It's probably the most protective case I have ever seen. I throw it down the hallway, or down a hill all the time to demonstrate its toughness. It's a little big, but it's actually about the same height and width as the iPhone 6. For the amount of protection, I think it's incredibly thin. I don't like the very small hole for the headphones, but I primarily use a bluetooth headset to listen, so it doesn't bother me that much. The cover over the back camera is very clear, I hardly notice a difference in clarity with the case off. The front camera, however, is another story. I got fed up and just drilled a hole for the camera to peek through. It took 5 minutes and improved the whole case! I'm not sure it's an everyday case, but for those days when I'm riding fourwheelers, or climbing ladders, or pretending I know how to be a woodworker, it's a perfect case! The faceplate is aluminum and literally screws to the back half. It comes with two spare screws and a small hex driver to install the phone in the case. It took me a minute to figure out the technique for swiping from the top and bottom to access the menus. I just had to learn to be a little firm with my taps in the corners of the screen. All in all, I'd recommend this to a friend!

Drop phones? Want to take 2 minutes to open a phone case? Get this.
This thing is built like a tank and has high quality Pelican construction throughout. However, if you are going hiking or mountain climbing and there is no water around, this is the case you want. If you're a normal phone user you're going to run into some problems:1. It takes a good 2 minutes even if you're fast with the included tiny screwdriver to get the case off. Why is this a drawback? If you go to the gym alot and wear an iPhone armband, this thing will obviously NOT fit. You'll need to take it out of this case.2. If you listen to music with headphones you'll either need to take it out of the case OR purchase a super slim 1/8" jack for the audio output (You can get a slim one from PartsExpress.com for cheap).3. If you're used to swiping from below with an iPhone 5 in iOS7 you CAN'T do it with this phone case. The bottom of the protective glass plate is in the way. You just can't swipe from below to change brightness or other common settings. It's a pain.4. Don't drop this thing in water! While it looks like it would be waterproof, it's not.5. If you're used to making app purchases with your finger or thumbprint, forget that ... the rubber covering on the home button won't let you do that. The Good: This thing is near indestructable. So if you drop your phone a lot, you'll be in good hands.I have to admit, I now only use this case when I'm going camping or hiking or mtn biking .. it's just "too" much case for normal use.

Pretty decent case
There weren't many reviews to go on, but what I read about this case was mostly positive, and I figured for $20 I could afford to take a chance on it. The biggest selling point over the Lifeproof or Otterbox cases is the lifetime warranty (compared to only 1 year from the others). I've only had it on for a day so far, and though I plan to put up a long-term review later, I figured I'd leave my immediate impressions.First off, as other reviews say, it's a pretty beefy box--but when you actually see the amount of padding that cradles your phone, the size becomes less of an issue. It feels very sturdy, and with all the padding and seals I'm confident my expensive phone will be very, very safe. That said, this case is also not designed to be waterproof, so keep that in mind if you need something for out on the water. Aside from shock, it's only meant to protect from dust and rain, not much more (I don't need those features, so it works for me). The immediate negatives I've experienced: touch controls are less sensitive (especially around the edges) and the buttons (home, power, volume) require substantially more force to operate. But these flaws seem pretty on-par when it comes to wraparound cases. In the end, compared to other $70 and $80 cases, I don't think you can go wrong with this one.

Great Case, But.....
This case is beautiful looking and feels great. It's sturdy and quality built. However, I did find some issues with this case. The first is the screen protector that comes with the case. With it on, some areas were not as responsive, particularly on the corners. Playing Real Race 3, I found it hard clicking the corners and edges of the screen. I guess you could potentially cut out the screen protector and and use your own. Do keep in mind that the screen protector has a thinner layer of foam on it. The foam helps to create a seal to the face plate. This could be the reason why the corners are not as responsive. The second thing I had issues with are the buttons for the power, volume, home and the dial to put your phone on silent. They were hard to press and I had to do it with a little bit of force. Overall, you cant beat the price and the built quality.

My iPhone 5 is ready for the battle field now.
I have a few Pelican products and the quality is the same for all of them. They protect my iPhone, MacBook Air and my Nikon camera. If I had to find something negative about this case is that unless you carry the little torx driver with you or have access to one wherever you are, you phone can not be removed. Also I would not submerge the phone underwater with this case. It's not designed for that and Pelican never made the claim that it was. I personally don't trust any of the cases that do make that claim. I think if I dropped it in a puddle or toilet it would be protected if removed quickly.Other than not being able to go scuba diving with my phone I think it will withstand just about anything. I friend of mine has one and drove over it with his car (on purpose). He's a little crazy but the phone survived without a scratch. The case has some scrapes but that's it.

So far great!
I've been using this case for a little over a month. I own a lot of large transport cases from Pelican. So quality-wise I am very certain there's nothing to worry about.

とてもゴツい!
私はこのケースが気に入り新品のiPhone5を探して、買ったぐらいです。バンパーを使用している方がこちらに変えると、サイズも一回り大きくなり、重量も重く、電源ボタンも固くなります。
