Mpow Bluetooth 4.0 Receiver/Music Audio Adapter for Bose Sounddock & Other 30-Pin Analog Audio Speaker Docks

Works well as long as you keep your music source stays in range. Once you move out of range the connection is lost, which you'd expect, but the pairing is also lost, so when you come back into range you have to unplug the Mpow and plug it back in to be able to pair it again.In my case I paired it with my Macbook and as long as I keep my Macbook on my desk near the Bose, it stays paired. If I put my Mac to sleep, when I wake it up and play something it will play through the Bose. If I move my Macbook out of range, however, I have to pair the Mpow again by removing it from the Bose connector and then putting it back and then click "connect" from my Mac.

This goes for anyone concerned about the quality and performance of this Bluetooth receiver here it is. I've had it since mid December 2016, and it still works fine does the job of converting your old Bose sound dock into something you can utilize. I use it with a Bose sound dock series 1 and it works well, and it also works with a Sony 30 pin set i had stored away also. So as far as compatibility I'd give it 5 stars.HERE IS WHY I ONLY GIVE IT THREE STARS. If you leave it on stand by, meaning if you have it connected to your phone or other Bluetooth device but aren't playing back any music or sound, then it automatically shuts off after about ONLY 3 or 4 mins of no playback. It's like it gets tired of not being used so it decides to shut itself off. ONCE THIS HAPPENS, (HERES THE ANNOYING PART) you cannot wirelessly turn it back on. YOU MUST go up to the sound dock and physically disconnect it from the dock and reconnect it. THIS CAN BECOME VERY ANNOYING. As you can see I went out of my way to write up a whole review. I personally think reviews help me decide on a product based on what others think that have already purchased it. In conclusion, if you are looking for a Bluetooth receiver to rescue your old 30 pin sound docks, this works.

I have two Sony personal audio docking system, both identical, with 30 pin adapter's. I regionally purchased a Bluetooth adapter when the iPhone 5 was introduced and purchased. This adapter worked fine for several years, and I continued moving the adapter from one device to another. Finally I decided to purchase a second adapter. I did not pay attention to the manufacturer and ended up purchasing two adapters from different manufacturers in the last month and each of my new purchases did not work. They just did not work. Then migraine took control and I searched for this specific adapter and it arrived and surprise of surprises, this receiver adapter worked. I repeat it works!!! I am completely sold on this manufacturer who produces a top quality product for years. Thank you Mpow!!

I have to remove and redock each time I want to use it, which is a bit of pain for me since it's located remotely in my garage. That said, works great once that's done, can stream from my phone anywhere in the garage or driveway without a problem. Not bad for the price, just wished it was either always on or there was a way to wake it up without having to remove and redock it.

Really good sound quality. Worked right away with my Sony dock. Only issue is the LED on the front that I covered with a hole punch of electrical tape. If I walk away for a minute and unpair it sits and flashes red and blue quite brightly in my kitchen. At night it looks a bit odd with all of the lights out, so I just used a hole punch on a crisp piece of electrical tape to cover the LED.

the range and sound quality on this are excellent. My only complaint is that there's no easy way to bring the Bluetooth out of standby. The Sony radio I have this to provides power for charging all the time. The Bluetooth radio times out after a period of activity. The only way to reactivated is to unplug the unit from the radio and plug it back in. It would be nice if there was a button or similar method to bring it out of standby.

This is definitely an improvement over the last version which worked ok until recently so I bought this one.The improvements I've noticed are a bit greater range and more positive hold on the connection. It also fits the pin connectors much better. The older version required a small piece of rubber to be wedged in to make the physical connection.

Very nice and easy upgrade for older technology! I used this bluetooth receiver to update an older clock radio in my bedroom that was purchased during the "30 pin" days of Apple. Still a very good clock radio and this little device continues its usefulness. As described this receiver works perfectly and pairs easily with my newest iPhone or any other bluetooth transmitting phone or music player. I'm quite pleased with this device..

Casi no lo use, al principio bien, no tenía mucho alcance pero bien, y después como de dos meses, dejo de funcionar, pero casi no lo use, no se si fue por que lo deje conectado en la bocina permanente mente

Excelente producto! muy recomendado! el único detalle es que no tiene una forma sencilla de realizar el apagado/encendido pero en general es bueno.
