For Apple iPhone 3GS LCD Display Screen Replacement Part

This product is amazing! My Iphone3GS 16GB (Black) screen was shattered and it actually damaged my LCD panel. I had to buy a new one to replace it, and as I was browsing through the list, I decided to go with this one. It turned out, it works just as a brand new Iphone. The installation was easy, there was no missing parts or damaged panel. Its actually pretty cheap for about less than 30 bucks, I would say this is the LCD Panel for you if you are looking to fix your Iphone LCD.Important:This is only for Iphone 3GS!! I don't think this will work on any other Iphone models.

The original LCD was broken so I replaced it with a new one that I was expecting to have the same resolution than the original. It turned out to be of low quality (far from 163 ppi) even though it works perfectly with theiPhone 3GS.

I cracked my screen attempting to clean the dust that had gathered between the LCD screen and the glass. For those of you who have attempted to separate the LCD screen, from its metal frame, this may have also been something that happened to yours. My choice to buy this screen was perfect!Pros:-Looks extremely close to the same quality of the LCD that came with the iPhone. (If not exactly the same quality)-Very simple to install.-Perfect replica to original LCD (shape/connection plugs for the 3GS).-Better price than buying a new/used phone (and using an upgrade).Cons:-Shipping packaging came apart in transit. The main padded envelope was sealed and closed, but the LCD screen had fallen out of the small padded pouch it was in.-Comes with no tools (which was not a problem for me, but may be a problem for those who don't have tools)-No instructions.-Because of the lack of instructions, I realized that the metal frame that was attached to the back of the original LCD had to be removed and stuck to the new one. - not too difficult but sticking it to the new LCD may be a challenge to some. (adhesive strips included with new LCD screen pre-attached)OVERALL - BUY IF you have tools and are handy!! --- 5/5

Replacement screens... Unfortunately the Apple iPhone actually cost more than what you buy it for when you sign up for a 2 year plant with your favorite phone company. So, to get an original replacement part can be rather expensive. This product is a viable alternative. The color is a bit off, but unless you're holding it next to another iPhone 3gs, you'll never know the difference. And since you're still holding onto last, last years model, you probably don't care. Go ahead, pull the trigger, this product works great, and will hold you over till your contracts up at a quarter of the cost. I also bought this when they were still selling them new, so this review probably won't help.

I'm not new to reparing iPhones, my wife has a knack for breaking hers so I've gotten adept at replacing cracked screens along with busted LCDs (10 touchscreens replaced and 3 LCDs). This screen arrived and looked to be identical to the other LCD screens I'd used in the past - obviously these aren't Apple OEM products but it appeared functional and packed well enough. I got the new screen fastened to the metal base and a new touchscreen attached in short order, however when it came time to assemble the connectors, the #1 connector literally disintegrated when I pressed it down on the circuit board connector. I was shocked - the entire connector just fell apart! Needless to say the screen is unusable and now I'm stuck waiting for another LCD replacement. Not recommended.

While replacing the glass of my wife's iPhone 3GS, I ended up cracking the LCD panel. Oops! Apparently, breaking the LCD is fairly easy to do even when you're trying to be delicate with everything, so welcome to the club.Replacing the LCD screen is a much easier operation than dealing with the shattered front glass/digitizer. If your glass is in good shape but you just need a replacement LCD panel to go behind it, this is what you want.Be sure you have the right tools and proper instruction before you start. You won't get them with this purchase, but they're easily obtainable.I don't know if this happens to everyone or not, but after replacing the LCD, I ended up with a blank white screen. Forcing a reset by holding sleep/home for several seconds didn't fix the issue, but connecting the phone to iTunes and doing a full restore from backup brought the screen back to life.I did a side by side comparison with my original screen and my wife's newly replaced LCD, and the picture quality on the replacement is a bit yellowish compared to an original iPhone 3GS, but it's still an excellent replacement for the price.

It fit in my phone, but it didn't really respond well. Otherwise, the shipping was good. Item was in good condition. Good price for it as well.

This screen was easy to install. It looks good. I am not sure if it is as good as the original screen, but it looked close. The problem is that the screen would go "blank" to all white every once in a while. The only way to get it back it to bang it in your hand. Maybe this means that there is a short, but, luckily I got a new phone so I really do not care anymore.
