Raynox DCR-FE180PRO Full Frame Fish-Eye Conversion Lens

Despite all the grand reviews and claimed resolution, this super wide/fish-eye only delivers real sharpness in the center. The sides/edges are blurry. It is not a replacement for a high quality fisheye. It is also QUITE heavy. It does give you a circular fisheye on top of a 12mm lens with vignetting (cropped sides and top). On an 18 mm lens, the vignetting disappears and you get the full frame super wide angle, albeit VERY soft sides and edges. This is a mixed bag. It will fit on a zoom, and will focus throughout the zoom. If you want real sharpness in a super wide angle or fisheye, you have to spend the money on something else. This is a compromise with noticeable limitations. I bought this used for $200, and even at that price, it's not a keeper, except if blurry sides are acceptable (perhaps in a green screen with subject in the center.) Certainly not worth the asking full price of $350. 2 1/2 stars
