East Coast Folding Highchair - Natural

I searched high and low for a safe highchair for my daughter- and just couldn't find one. The other wood ones are composite- so a total chemical sh*tstorm. And I didn't want plastic- I am as anti plastic as can be without driving myself crazy with it. Antique wood ones have their own issues: since you have NO idea what they're finished with, chemically, or if it meets current safety standards.I am SO happy, with this high chair though. It's finished to a satin smoothness and gorgeous- the pictures don't do it justice. Note that you have to order the cushion separately, but it's well worth it. This is absolutely going to be a family heirloom.It's easy to get my daughter in and out of, super stable, and the straps are nice and secure.I. Love. It!

Wow, this is such a lovely highchair! It's well-constructed of beautiful wood, with a very smooth-to-the-touch finish. It's exactly what I wanted in a highchair: simple design, high-quality wood, easy-to-clean. Plus it folds, which is such a nice feature for storage between meals (or between children). I had a supposedly nice quality plastic highchair for my older kids in the past and swore I'd never get another; the nooks and crannies were incredibly hard to get clean and I wondered if the company had even tried feeding a baby in one of their chairs before putting it on the market. This chair, on the other hand, is completely wonderful! It's a keeper. I'm in the US and was a little hesitant to buy such a big item from overseas, but since I couldn't find it anywhere else and the other reviews of Hello Baby were very positive, I went for it. I'm so glad I did -- and it came WAY sooner than I thought it would. Since I've only had it a short while, one thing I can't weigh in on yet is cleaning the straps. They are very sturdy and nice quality, but you know how food manages to get on everything, so if they eventually need a good washing it will be a matter of unscrewing them as they are attached the the chair in 3 spots with screws. I tried taking the straps off for the sake of this review, and they were simple to get on and off. Overall -- beautiful chair, and a very happy mama and baby!

First off, I LOVE this high chair. I looked for a couple months for the perfect wood high chair for my son. It's not easy to find wood high chairs and when you do they are either antique or unfinished or cheaply made. I wanted something that would last forever, through several kids and maybe even grandkids one day. This is everything I've been looking for. It's very well made, very thick and sturdy and excellent quality. The wood is the smoothest wood I have ever felt. It's a show piece in my dinning room. Beautiful wood grain and flawless finish. Almost no assembly, just screw the two feet on with the tool they give you. It folds up easily and is out of the way or makes it easy to travel with. The tray folds behind the chair back, so much better than the trays on a track that eventually stop fitting correctly. These are pretty much only bought and sold in Europe, so I feel really lucky to have found one. I didn't buy the chair from Amazon but I've glad to see it available on here. I recommend this high chair to anyone who wants to get great quality for their money and have something they're really proud to own.
