The situation is getting worse and now the police force must safeguard the lives of retired officers, who are being constantly attacked. But the trouble isn't restricted to the professional life of our protagonist but also in his personal life too. The narration is kept simple and easy making it a good read for all. There are several characters yet each character development is well protraited. The language used is lucid. The book is layered amazingly with suspense and thriller along with marshal aspect too. It was indeed a good read.

🌸 The Lost Woman of Santacruz🌸 Author -Vijay MedtiaThe name itself reflects the story and the basic content of the book. It’s a thriller with a very tight and gripping narration . Inspector Ajay Shaktawat , an able and highly capable officer is informed about the murder of DCP Chandra . Before Inspector Shaktawat can overcomethis shock another murder of a sub inspector leaves him stunned .Inspector Shaktawat along with his partner ACP Rohan are assigned the duty to solve the case. But there is one more parallel story running with the crime investigation. This story is about Ajay Shaktawat a simple family man who loves his wife Priya and his two children but there is always a Cold War going on between him and his family members because due to his true dedication towards his job he is not able to spend ample time with his family . Even his mother always compares him with his brother who works in a bank.Inspector Ajay being torn between two responsibilities one towards his country and another towards his family , pulls his socks and gets ready to solve the murder mystery .Will inspector Shaktawat and his team will be able to reach to the root cause of these gruesome murders ??The book is first part in the series Police inspector Ajay Shaktawat series .The book meets all standards like crisp story line , thrill and the well maintained balance between all the characters. The character development is very fine and with each scene it magnifies. The author has done a marvellous job as far as the narration is concerned and the thrill and mystery continues till last scene and leaves you with a gasp.A must read for people who love fast pace thrill with a bit of emotional flavour .

Loved it!
With more than one theme entwined like breaking marriage, a missing woman, a killer out on the streets of Mumbai, gold smuggling, the Lost Woman of Santacruz is an exciting crime thriller. The author Vijay held the nerve of Indian readers while we go through it. Amazing mixing of strong characters and compelling sweeps and subplots, this novel is my favourite so far. The story is about one retired policeman who has been murdered in Santacruz, the missing link is the woman who hides. The police inspector Ajay Shaktawat is chasing the case, he has to deliver no matter what it takes. On stake is a lot. With strong writing and conflict of interests and retribution in the air, this is a novel that will linger for long with you guys. I bet on it. Amazing! Thrilling! Classy! Loved it!

Crime thriller!
Review-: Personally crime fictions are my favorites, this urge me to pick this up and think what it turn out to be a great read. The title itself mysterious and the cover is decent. So the story starts with the mysterious murders of retired police officers. One by one each officers got murdered. The case was hold up in the shoulders of Inspector Ajay Shaktawat a hard working police officers, by the way he investigated the murder of DC Chandra, he got a news of another murder.By reaching this I thought that the silent killer is taking his/her personal revenge. The story is an opt thriller and mysterious, I mean this kind of story is jaw dropping it keeps surprising you with its twists and turns.Mean while there is a cute little story of Inspector Ajay Shaktawat with his family. His family is in a war stage with him because Inspector Ajay won't able to give time to his family, as a an honest Inspector has many responsibilities in his shoulders. One more question arises what's that women was mentioned in the title, is she is indulged in all these murders or her story leads us in another suspence and what about the silent killer will Inspector Ajay will find out the real suspect. To know this you have to grab this book and give it try.The narration of all characters are opt and each character has his own thrill. Language is simple, easily understood. Recommended for a good thriller read

Another Triumph by Vijay Medtia
This was another great book by Vijay Medtia. The plot with all its twists and turns keeps you glued. The characters are well developed as you can relate and sympathize with them. There is no shortage of action and Vijay does an excellent job of working in humor to keep you fully entertained. Looking forward to reading his next book.

It's like I'm in Mumbai! A truly entertaining and inspiring read.
An extremely well written book by Vijay Medtia.Crime novels are right up my street. And Medtia takes me to the heart of Santa Cruz, Mumbai, through his excellent story-telling. I particularly like the gripping journey that Inspector Ajay Shaktawat goes on, tackling very relatable obstacles to crack a gruesome yet compelling case. I believe the author is from the UK but he writes in a way that makes you think he is a local. You get a real sense of everyday life in Mumbai and the characters chosen add that extra value. This is his third book I have read, and I am certainly not disappointed. From the UK to India, a truly entertaining and inspiring read. Can't wait for the next!

Keeps you interested through out
Its a wonderful read. I enjoyed it the whole way through. It holds you on to it . Its not like where the main interesting portion is in couple of pages and it ends. This one entertains you throughout its journey as you read. Very well compiled.

Entertaining crime thriller
Introducing us to Police inspector Ajay Shekhawat, this book is the first hopefully of many. Set in Mumbai, the novel follows Inspector Shekhawat as he tries to solve a series of high profile murders, beginning with a retired Deputy Commissioner of Police - all whilst dealing with pressure from his superiors, a disintegrating (well, disintegrated) family life, and the erosions of loneliness. Well paced, sympathetic to its main character, and with a sprinkling of plot twists, this is everything you'd expect from a good crime thriller, with the added bonus that it might also make you think a little bit more about the realities of the characters. My only real gripe was the proofing, which is all over the place. The publisher really needs to get its act together on this.Overall then, a decent read from a writer who knows his craft.
