LG Electronics 65SJ9500 65-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2017 Model)

Del on time, 2 man team unboxed, connected legs and pier on. Blue screen, remote paired. Overall happy with purchase. WebOs 3.5 and LG IOS and Android apps should be improved. Would appreciate software update to allow Google and Alexa. ARC is located on HDMI 2. Connected LG sound bar, works grate with a ARC and Magic Remote. IMHO exceeds my day to day needs. Wish I could had updated the SH7B sound bar.The only thing I notice when going from TV show to commercial, temp gray screen. Time will tell if this is normal.

Moving from a 32" to a 65" TV is an adjustment. The size and resolution convey a realism that at first made it more difficult to suspend disbelief while watching, as what we saw was accurate: the set of a movie and actors playing roles. An adjustment to the "Cinema" picture setting cured that immediately. We love it. Set up was a dream and the intuitive settings menu gives us the flexibility to optimize sound and picture for all viewing.

I was impressed with the styling with metal and glass design, looks like OLED display, but the fundamental problems of the bottom LED lighting panel system is just FLAWED, I cant even enable HDR or Dolby Vision since it creates columns of light from the bottom of the screen and the entire screen glows at night, not sure what the folks at LG engineering were thinking when they created this TV, I assume they tested it only during the daytime or with the lights on, while I love the design, I just cant live with the lighting problems on this TV. If the TV was priced under 1,000 I would possible buy it, but not for 1,500.00. If you normally watch TV during the daytime or always have your lights on where the TV will be positioned, then I recommend it, but if you do any movie watching at night, forget it.

I will make it short.Can a 2017 TV model have: - 500MB memory? (A mobile phone nowdays has 128GB) - Not more than 10 relevant apps in the market? (NO HBO?) from what I saw the development comunity basically does not excist. - No upscaling what so ever? (Youtube 1080p videos look bad!)Not impressed at all by the Nanocell technology.Viewing angles not good especially from top to bottom. Bad blacks!I wish I could return it without having to pay for the shipping!!This is my honest opinion.It got 2 starts for the price point, design and speakers quality.120hz ONLY on 1080p resolution!

Easy set-up, great picture. Love it!

When it works, it works at it best. When it troubles, then it is tough to recover. You should be lucky to recover. I have been facing the issue of TV going blank, with blue stripes, when turned on. I had samsung TV earlier for almost 5 years, with NO issues at all. I sometimes regret of switching to LG.

Amazing TV

After owning this TV for 2 months, the picture died. LG sent a repairman who tried to resolve the issue be replacing multiple parts. Ultimately, the TV was deemed unrepairable. It has been 1 additional month that we have been given the runaround and blown off by LG customer service representatives regarding fulfilling the warranty for the TV. This purchase has been the largest electronics disappointment ever. If you are looking to purchase, with a warranty in mind, DO NOT buy an LG. The fight, headache, and disrespect for customer satisfaction and rights (warranty) is not worth the product. I will never buy another LG product again. I am giving it one star because it was a good TV for 2 months before it broke.
