The media could not be loaded.  First and foremost, yes, you assemble the lampshades. It is very easy and takes less than 2 minutes to do. Simply unroll the shade, Velcro closed and insert the two round metal frames into the clips. I turn the Velcro side to the wall, but it really isn’t a big deal either way.Overall, these are a great value. You cannot purchase a full size lamp with these features for under $30 each anywhere. It’s so nice to have the touch feature for on/off and dim/bright. In addition, the USB charging port makes my life that much easier! Not fiddling around to find the little knob to turn off is now my thrill. So yes, when you compare these to $89 lamps, I will assemble the lamp shades!I knew I had a winner when one of my adult daughter’s asked me where I got my new lamps because she loved them.The overall design is indeed modern and certainly lit up our bedroom well. Oh, yes, it comes with (2) 60 watt dimmable lightbulbs.Right from the box, you are ready to update your lighting!!I am quite happy with the price and quality. This 28" ceramic table/nightstand lamps has a very modern & unique design and some very useful features, assembly was a breeze and took just a few minutes, 2x E26 LED 805lm light bulbs that comes in a 2700K light color that I really love because it is a not to bright and very easy and cozy color for your eyes. the lamp has a touch feature that turns on/off and 3 levels of dimmable options. also included in the base 2 USB ports: USB type A and a USB type C for a very convenient charging location for your phone or tablet.Very recommended product and cost effective
