BDI Furniture Terrace 1152-44'' x 34" Rectangular Coffee Table for Living Room, Family Room or Office with Display Storage and Tempered Glass Top, Natural Walnut

Table looks cool, and is highly durable/heavy but for over $1000 you’d think they could make it out of solid walnut and not veneer over god knows what. Description should state that it is walnut VENEER.

Just got this table. The "natural walnut" finish stands out like a sore thumb compared to my real walnut furniture in the same room. It is much lighter, has a pink hue, and the woodgrain doesn't look anything like walnut. No part of this table is solid walnut and I really question if these cheap-looking veneers are walnut at all. Looks like false advertising to me.

I purchased this table from a local furniture store three years ago, not Amazon. It looks and functions great, but the walnut veneer is super thin. In particular, the edges of the table have paper-thin veneer, so are ripe for vacuum cleaner damage; mine has two corners damaged. We take good care of our furniture, so this is a disappointment. We have other BDI furniture pieces that have similar veneer but are not subject to wear like the coffee table, so those have not been a problem.
