Just right for a duck house.
After reading reviews on several sites about this product I decided to chance it for my four 6-week old ducklings, hoping they would use it and that it would be large enough, safe enough, warm enough. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to assemble, no parts missing. The roof is great with the shingles and the house looks much more attractive than anything I would have built from scratch. I did use some additional small nails for reinforcement, and added hardware cloth over the bottom since anything that could crawl underneath it would easily be able to lift the floor boards. Also, I placed small patio stones under each leg so the soft wood wouldn't be directly on the ground, and propped one under the door so it wouldn't have such a steep angle due to the house sitting up on stones. The roof has two secure latches but it allowed a little space so I could run an extension cord inside for a heat source on the cold nights. Also, I live in Florida where it rains frequently and the house has stayed nice and dry inside. My ducks love it and they are Swedish blues, now fully grown. Two of them can extend their wings in the house at once, but it's tall enough and seems to give them enough space and I keep the floor covered in shavings or saw dust. The front door latch isn't very secure so I bought a small spring-tension type latch to reinforce because the raccoons are always curious. I gave 4 stars because the for the price, I believe it should be a little sturdier, not sure how long this thing will last but I hope for 2 or 3 years. Keeping it elevated will help and the roof should be fine but we'll see how it goes. Overall, my ducks and I are very happy with this little house.

We have 2 of these...
We have purchased two of these. The first one required that we make some adjustments on the door hinges. We were probably too rough with the door opening and closing it.After 1year it’s still in good shape, so we bought another for our new hatchlings. We place 3 bantam chickens in each. We do have one lg Plymouth Rock who likes to use the nesting box too.If you’re using this for standard size chicken I wouldn’t put more than 3 in here at night. The roost is short and the girls will be very close to each other on the roost , could lead to some fighting. The roost is low to the floor, no more than 1.5 inches above the floor. It’s very cute. The wood is delicate, and you have to take care when screwing it together. My guess is it will last at least 5years.

Very Good Value for the Price
The bottom comes out fairly easily so please prop it up with a landscape stone or something. The bottom fell out and our poor duck was very confused at only having half a floor! That being said, it takes a bit to put it together but it is really cute when done. It is large enough for one duck, two might be a little crowded. Some reviews said they felt three ducks would fit. I am not so sure. Our buff orpington is a pretty big girl and she takes up a bit of room inside. We put timothy hay in the bottom for the duck and change it regularly. Once you get used to the way the latch works, it's a pretty awesome unit. I was going to give three stars for the floor, but it could have been our construction, and it is something that can be fixed easily. It has withstood quite a rain storm and the inside stayed dry. Our duck loves her house. The window is plexy glass and screen on the other side. We leave it ajar for air circulation. Overall, this is perfect for our one duck. We call it Duckingham Palace. Enjoy!!!

Good.
My trio of ducks became a duo when a raccoon broke into the dog crate. I swore, never again, to be woken at 1 AM by panicked honking and greeted by a limp and bleeding lump as iridescent eyes scampered away with hunks of flesh and feathers. I brought my girls inside, and ordered this the next morning. It's relatively cheap, and far more attractive than most hutches. Importantly for me it doesn't have one of those long silly ramps favored by the tiny velociraptors (some people call them chickens). I won't say the hutch is perfect, but some $25 of modifications fix it. First we bought a single sheet of 1/2" plywood to replace the two pieces that rest in the bottom. This makes it much more structurally sound, and once tacked down keeps predators from pushing up into the hutch. Secondly we covered the floor in vinyl tile for easy cleaning (it took 8 12" tiles). Third we added a latch to the front door and locks for all the hardware. They put locking latches on the roof and nest box, I don't know why they didn't do the same with the front door. It could be a bit larger, but it amply fits my two light-class girls. The results are wonderful, and I'm not the only one who thinks so. I used to have to herd the girls to bed but after one day they jumped right in. A week later and they're putting themselves to bed when it gets dark they like it so much. It's a very cute addition to our yard, and I can sleep easily at night without worry of gnawing teeth and shredding claws.

this chicken coop is perfect for 2 or 3 chickens
For the price, this chicken coop is perfect for 2 or 3 chickens. But it is a start. You will need to reinforce the flooring with extra wood to support it from falling out (and keeping the night animals out. We also placed the legs of the coop on bricks to keep them from becoming rotted in the weather. The whole coop is located inside a chicken run so I feel confident that this little coop will last for a few years.

Wood quality is not what i thought it would be.
After reading several hundred reviews on every type of coop available, I decided this was the best fit. As soon as I started to put it together(which was very simple) I realized the wood was lighter, almost like balsa wood. I'm worried that this type of wood will not handle the extreme temperatures that we have here in Arizona. Also, the size of this coop is a lot smaller than I had initially thought. I would say it can hold 2 full size chickens. With this being said, it went together very easily. I would recommend using wood glue as you put it together for a sturdier product.

Poor quality
Cheap cheap cheap. After only 6 months it was unusable as a coop, and all we ever had in it was a pet rooster. I now use it as a brooder without the roof in it, which it is perfect for.

Garbage
This “coop” is a piece of garbage. The wood on the walls came split and there’s only 4 grooves to hold the flooring so it doesn’t even hold the floor up. Instructions are garbage as well. Don’t waste your money on this piece of junk
