Better Than Expected!
If I were using this as a full-time coop, I wouldn't put any more than 3 or 4 full-size hens in it. However, it will be perfect as a transition coop for pullets and a nursery for broody hens to raise chicks before they're ready to roam my much larger run and the backyard where my hens free-range. The instructions could definitely benefit from some words, but once I figured out the diagrams, assembly was pretty easy. I was pleasantly surprised to smell that this coop is actually cedar and quite a bit sturdier than other cheap pre-fab coops I've had, which aren't much more than particle board. The "parts" list could use a proofreader (see photo), but once I stopped laughing enough to wipe the tears from my eyes, I could see that I had all the hardware needed, as well as one spare screw in many cases. I will be adding secure hasps to the doors and nest box area because the current system would be defeated by a raccoon in no time. All in all, though, not a bad little coop for the price.

Perfect coop for my 3 hens.
Great design, perfect for my 3 hens. It's a bit light weight, but we are using it in the garage as a temporary "vacation" coop, so it is not exposed to the weather. I will coat it with marine poly if I use it outside.

Product could be better
Although it’s easy to put together, all the pieces are not marked. The instructions are so tiny I needed a magnifying glass! Even after it’s all put together I question it’s durability & ability to safe guard my chicks. It will work for a brooder probably, but as for holding adult chickens, it’s way too small.

Good grower coop
Good for a grower coop when the babies need to be separated from the main flock before integration.

Not the best materials
Easy to assemble lightweight. Has some minor deformities not very well put together. You get what you pay for.

DO NOT BUY
UPDATE: DO NOT PURCHASE. WEVE HAD THIS 4 MONTHS, LAST NIGHT AN ANIMAL TORE ALL OF THE WOOD OFF THE NESTING BOXES AND TOOK OUR BELOVED CHICKENS. THE ANIMAL TORE THE WOOD OFF LIKE IT WAS PAPER.The coop came in two boxes. It was fairly simple to put together. It is a bit different than described. Mine does not have a hinged roof, it is actually screwed in so it doesn't open. I guess I could add hinges myself if I cared but just as a heads up, you may get one that doesn't open. The tray is not an easy fit & its shallow so a bit of a pain to clean. As other reviewers have said, the wood does crack easily.I would not recommend for a bunny or other chewers because the wood is so thin and delicate.Otherwise, its been great for my 2 little pullets. They have been using the nesting boxes and there are 2 perches inside for when they get bigger. There is enough room to hang a water feeder but not both food and water.I added wire and concrete to the bottom to keep pests out, locks everywhere to keep secure from other animals at night, a plastic roof to make sure its waterproof and a clear coat to help the wood.Size wise, Id say its okay for 2, maaaaayybe 3 chickens inside but the outside part is way too small. You would have to either let them out every day or add panels to make it much bigger.

Good little coop
I bought this for my 4 chicks to keep them safe and separated from my big girls in the run. It was easy to assemble. I’d say it took about an hour. The most difficult part was removing everything from the packaging. The instructions were drawings only but the coop is pretty simple so it didn’t make it more difficult to assemble. All pieces were perfect. There was no damage. I received the coop in two boxes delivered by FedEx. I have the coop in a covered run but I plan on sealing before the wet weather. It also needs some silicone sealing because it has a lot of gaps. I don’t really like the plexiglass window. I would’ve preferred a hardware cloth window that I could slide open or closed. The window makes it look cute but I would like more ventilation than the holes on the side. That’s easy enough to change. All in all it’s like any other prefab coop. The wood is thin and will need to be weather treated yearly. Wood glue and silicone sealant are a must. It works perfectly for my purpose of housing my 4 chicks. I’ll use it a supplementary coop once they’re grown or to separate if any chicks fall ill.
