Kingston IKD300S/4GB 4GB Ironkey D300S/D300SM USB 3.0 Encrypted Flash Drive

I purchased this flash drive without realizing it small size in terms of Gigabyte storage so it was returned and I got the 16 Gb which just arrived. The flash drive is easy to setup and use.

Very sturdy. Easy to use. A little pricy ?? Really no way of telling how secure these drives are.Is it more secure than my $15 Verbatim? Don't know.

I had my first ironkey (Imation) in 2012. I purchased this Kingston ironkey to replace that one as the Imation Ironkey was old and I thought it may fail. The irony of it all is that the Imation ironkey still works and the Kingston ironkey has failed. The LED light doesn't come on the Kingston ironkey and the prompt doesn't start up. I tried on several devices. I contacted Kingston and they shared they do not repair. I can attempt a data recovery company but most likely the files are gone.

Garbage. Not mac compatible Vs what it says and you cannot run the internal OS without a pc

A colleague sent me some data on an Iron key a few years ago. I tried to open it recently. It will not open on a MAC. I called the company and they admitted same. The drive has some confidential info on it, so I don't want to take it to a commercial computer repair shop and friends are reluctant to open it on their PC as they don't know what may be embedded in the Iron Key software....so, it is a brick.

If one is looking for security this is one product that fits the bill, it was an excellent purchase!!

Easy to use seems durable only 3 stars because you can’t backup another iron key USB directly to this USB. Doesn’t seem to be compatible with previous ironkey I have.
