I ordered the cable from Accell through amazon but NOT through amazon's warehouse because I wanted to be sure I got the genuine cable I was purchasing. It took longer to arrive but was worth it for the peace of mind that I wouldn't have any issues based on the cables when building my PC. The cable performs well without issue and I believe is worth the investment, especially since it is vesa certified.

The cable feels sturdy and I'm having no issues with the picture quality. It can reach 144 Hz for a 27" 1440p screen no problem. Something odd, however, did happen: one day, the DisplayPort wasn't being recognized on my monitor, though it fixed itself a few minutes after. I suppose it could be an issue with my PC or monitor, but just thought I'd warn others about what happened.

New 240hz monitor was randomly losing signal from old DP cord I had, and I thought it might be going bad. Turns out, I just needed a new cord. Found this one after looking for good DP cords, and ever since, my monitor hasn't dropped signal.

EDIT: ASUS VG248 issues. I just had to unplug the power cord from my monitor and plug it back in and the problem is solved! Cable still works Have been using this cable with my ASUS monitor and 1070 GPU for about 4 months and it just went out on me. I’m annoyed because I specifically came to this brand hoping that it would work better than my previous cable (which gave out in 2 months) Worked great while it worked, but unfortunately it no longer does.

Well, first off, verify your connections EVERY TIME. This is my fault. My GPU only has more than 1 output of Displayport ONLY. I was gifted a second monitor to match my current one. Well i said im going to need two display port cables....well my older monitors do not support displayport SOOOO needless to say, these are currently paperweights until i upgrade my PC monitors in the future that support these cables. As for the product itself, the price for 2 cables and the distance they provide is worth the money. They do not seem to be cheap quality so I will hang on to these.

It's a decent DP 1.4 cable. Nothing special, but it works. Could have been a bit thicker(more shielding), or longer for the price, but it is & does what it says. Being VESA certified is always nice to be sure standards are met.

Accell is one of the few manufacturers of DisplayPort cables that has them certified by VESA. If you're wondering what that means, then what it essentially means is that they've been verified by a third-party company to certify they are compliant to VESA DisplayPort 1.4 standards. Most of the cheaper cables on the market might claim to be "VESA" DisplayPort 1.4, but without being "VESA Certified", they're just claims and almost certainly are of inferior quality. If you've ever had a monitor that's connected via DisplayPort cable and the display is flickering or picture cutting out randomly, it's most likely the cable malfunctioning. This can be due to the cable being poorly designed and not capable of the bandwidth you're using, such as 2560x1440 resolution at 144Hz refresh rate. So don't skimp on your cables, get Accell, Startech.com, or KabelDirekt VESA-Certified DisplayPort 1.4 cables if you're connecting a graphics card to your 144Hz gaming monitors.

Had an MSI 144hz monitor hooked up with a store bought DP cable. Not too long after I had issues where the image would flicker or go black. I’d have to wiggle the cable a bit and suddenly the picture would show up again. And the slightest vibration or movement would cause the signal to act up. I did researching and was surprised that these cables aren’t like HDMI where one cable is just as good as any other. I also didn’t know the band with these cables handle either. I read several articles that there are VESA certified cables that are the ones recommended to get. This was one of them. Upon installing the cable was secure and firm and had no flickering or blacking out issues. I’m glad I read up on this and found a good cable to replace it.

No flickering. The only actually VESA certified 1.4 DisplayPort cable on German Amazon. Perfect.

I play PC games and I use a 240Hz and a 144Hz monitor. I choose DisplayPort for the compatibility and ease of use. But the cables that come with the monitors are always somewhat low quality. So I did some research and bought this Accell Cable. I was not disappointed. The quality is very good. The plug has just right tolerance. It is not too tight or loose when plugged into the graphic card or the monitor. And this cable is certified by VESA (VESA is the organization that "invented" DisplayPort) and can be found on VESA website. I'm happy with this purchase.
