Just what we've been looking for
I am not that technical but found this easy to use. It comes with clear instructions for every connection. My hubby has poor hearing so we wanted something to prevent TV volume fights in the house! He wants things loud, I want them quiet. We wanted something where he could listen to the TV via headphones or his own speaker and I could listen to the normal TV sound output. We previously tried a simple Bluetooth device that connected to the 3.5mm audio output but that just shut off the TV's internal speakers and would only connect to one Bluetooth device anyway. So pretty pointless. With this device, connecting it to the TV's optical digital audio output with the supplied cable does not shut off the TV's internal speakers (2015 Samsung smart TV). Result! I can listen to the normal TV volume and hubby can listen on Bluetooth headphones. Not only that, as you can connect two Bluetooth devices, we can listen to the output on a second connected speaker that may be in a different part of the house such as the kitchen for example. The product states for best results the headphones should support aptX-LL. I have no idea if his headphones do, they are a few years old but there are no issues at all with the sound that we could spot. What more can I say. It's easy to pair two blue tooth devices and there's no lag. Great purchase

Automatically connects to everything in range -- useless as a result.
This device functions more or less excellently as a transmitter. Its connection is strong and quite long ranged. The digital input option is particularly appreciated as well. Sound quality is, of course, irrelevant here; this is just a transmitter, it shouldn't affect the audio at all.The problem with this device that makes it unusable to me is that it will automatically connect to anything in range and this cannot be stopped. If it is connected to headphones at one time, and the headphones are turned off, it will default to trying to connect to something else. This could be anything. Even your roommate's sound bar, which may also automatically connect to anything possible. This disrupts the audio for the other device and will require re-pairing for the headphones later. This flaw renders this thing practically unusable. It should not pair unless told to pair.

Top quality bluetooth transmitter
After trying several brands of bluetooth audio receiver transmitters, I've finally found what I've always been looking for a simple unit that is easy to use and that pairs with my devices quickly as soon as they are within range. The Audikast is extremely simple to use. Connect to any micro USB power source such as a phone charger or computer, push the switch on the rear to the on position, and hold either button on the front pannel to put either A or B into pairing mode. Simply put your bluetooth device into pairing mode and they should connect within a matter of seconds. This unit is able to pair all my speakers with very little audio delay whilst still holding the advertised range. I've paired a Creative Labs sound blasteraxx axx200, and sound blaster E5 headphone amp with no issues. Range is outstanding finally I can listen to internet radio all over the house without having to move my laptop or tablet without any choppy audio.Unlike most brands of bluetooth audio transmitters, this has a true line input for example if listening to a movie dialogue which has a very low volume level on the source device, the audio won't cut out what so ever the audio quality is very close to the quality of a wired connection. Finally I can use my sound blaster products to their full audio processing potential without getting extremely frustrated when the other transmitters I've tried cut the audio below a certain volume threshold. The best way of describing the audio cut outs is very similar to using a vox mic on radio equipment or on an in car bluetooth kit so as soon as the transmitters detect no audio they will cut out until sound is detected but the Avantree Audikast maintains audio even at extremely low levels which is exactly what I was looking for.I should mention I've tried plugging the unit directly into my Windows 10 tablet and laptop with no issues the unit is detected as a sound output device and plays audio loud and clear. I should mention you need to control volume using your bluetooth speaker as adjusting windows volume has no effect but it depends on your speaker. The SB AXX200 and SB E5 are tied to Windows volume control so fine volume adjustment is perfect but cheaper speakers may require you to physically control the volume from the speaker as Windows volume control will have no effect apart from muting audio at 0% so between 1 and 100% volume may be at the maximum level. The mic works ffine for Skype calls as well. I've also tested the Audikast by connecting itt to a bluetooth receiver connected to the laptop and connecting it to the Audikast using a 3.5mm aux cable which introduces a slight delay in the audio but gives me outstanding coverage throughout my house. On the plus side I can answer Skype calls from other rooms as long as the receiver is within range of the laptops transmitter. Finally I should mention as this has no internal battery the unit needss to be powered from a USB wall plug or from a laptop. It runs fine from my Qidian QD188BFC powerbank which does support low current mode whereas on my regular powerbanks they shut off after 1 minute as they don't detect a load.Just to put the icing on the cake I've tried listening to local FM radio by using a 2M long aux cable connected to my mp3 player going to the Audikast and powering the Audikast using the QD188 with very little interference generated by the powerbank. I'm sure I can illiminate the interference completely by using a longer aux cable but I'm extremely happy as reception is in full stereo and loud and clear.Quite simply, this is one of the best bluetooth transmitters on the market deffinatly a 5 star product.

Cracking product!
I am using this on the output from my Sky box, along with a pair of Avantree Audition Pro headphones. On Low Latency there is absolutely no sync lag on the audio, and perfectly clear audio. I did have a small problem (of my own doing) at first, as I’d stood the unit on top of my Apple TV box. There was a constant faint hum on the audio, but after moving the Audikast away from it, it was fine. One to watch out for. I was totally amazed by the small size of the unit.I have connected the usb power lead to a usb socket on my TV, and got confirmation from Avantree that, as the unit has power protection built in, it would be ok to leave it permanently switched on. This means now that the unit switched on and off with the TV 👍

Brilliant solution for watching TV late at night.
This was very easy to set up. I just connected the optical cable to my TV and the power to the TV's USB so it powers up whenever I switch the TV on. All cables came included, which is another plus. The TV was already set to internal speakers + optical so it just worked. I do have to remember to make sure the TV sound is turned down though.I bought a pair of Avantree bluetooth headphones to go with it, and I specifically chose aptX Low Latency ones. (Unfortunately, aptX low latency is not widely supported yet.) The low latency works brilliantly. Even when you are looking for lag, there is none noticable. However, the one small downside is that when you pair with two sets of headphones, it falls back to the lowest common demoninator on both headphones. So when my other half connected her older bluetooth headphones, we both had to listen in SBC mode rather than aptX Low Latency. It is not too bad, but if you are looking for latency, you can notice the lip sync is out slightly. It pairs with my headphones as soon as I switch then on, and never forgets them. All in all, it is a brilliant piece of kit for the money. You just need to invest in aptX low latency headphones to make the most of it.
