It works vey well . Simple and basic . There is a metal tube , quite wide , which makes using it in the bottom of the log burner awkward and can scratch . I solved the issue by taping an actimel drink carton [ end cut off ] onto the tube then used the G tech extending brush fit fitted into that perfectly . A simple brush attachment with a small tube could easily be provided at little cost , hence only 3 stars . The other issue is the filter [ a metal colander type cylinder ] has to be pulled out to clean each time [ messy ] and shaken out [ again messy ] I was expecting a filter as per a vac that can be removed cleanly and shaken into a bin . Having said that it is miles better than using a dustpan and brush and good value , if one ignores the two negatives this is value for money . PS The seller contacted me asking if I wished a full refund as I only gave it 3 stars, I did not wish to return it as it does work very well.

Having lived in the city for 42 years I'd never previously thought about acquiring one of these to carry in the car's boot from time to time. However, now I've retired and moved back out to the countryside that I was brought up in, it suddenly seems like a good idea. The proper, triangular shaped, handle of this one's design made it the choice for me as it makes it's use more mechanically efficient than those similar ones that just have a pole handle. The threaded lock system that sets all the articulated joints at the same time is very handy. I'm not silly enough to believe that it will withstand a lot of brutal use or has a blade capable of sawing clean through tree branches and all the rest of it. What it will do is shift snow ridges and help you try to dig your car out of a modest sized slippery rut in a muddy track if you find yourself in one and the vehicle isn't a 4X4. It should also come in handy if having to shovel out stuff in very confined spaces in other situations. This shovel is a good standby for once-in-a-blue-moon predicaments. They can happen in the yuckier months and I like to think I am more self-sufficient should such poor fortune occur.Eamonn

Not a good product. Very wide suction tube. Unable to get it under grate of woodburner or into corners to suck out ash. Motor gets very hot and smells of burning. Filter not easy to get clean which has to be done after every use. Rubbish product. Not using it anymore, buying a different one

This is a brilliant vacuum. Good suction power. I am using it for cleaning printer toner powder and it’s doing miracles. You will have to make sure that the filter will be cleaned after every use. Very easy to clean though:) definitely recommend it.

Not bad at all. Very small but it folds up nicely and doesnt rattle too much. Its in the boot of the car with the snowshoes in case it snows here. Seems well made too but just for digging small holes in softish earth or shovelling light snow/ice.

Great suction, nice and lightweight, but it's rubbish if you have a coal fire. If it's just ash then this is good, if there are small bits of coal left over then it's rubbish, it just clogs up. The thing is now in my cellar collecting dust.

This vacuum cleaner makers the task of cleaning the ash out of the stove much eaier than it would be without the machine. Far less messy and less time consuming. can highly recommend it.

I used it after 5 straight days of using my fireplace. It picked up quickly with no mess. A Great price, works well and is quiet too. Small enough to store when not in use. I recommend this product.
