FenderOriginal Jazz Bass Pickups

Not super high output, the bridge is beautifully sculpted and detailed, but not too loud. The neck is louder with more bass (of course) and when blended together you get a great full sounding bass tone that can't be beat.I installed these in a parts bass "build". Mexican made neck and body, American electronics and these pickups. They sound incredible! Cloth covered wire and included are true vintage copper plate under the foam with ground wire for shielding. Just solder them to the same ground you solder the pickup grounds to.Best bang for the buck pickups that give that great vintage tone.Pro tip: twist the pickup wires together to eliminate any excess noise. This will NOT make them 'noiseless', but will help with the extra noise that can come from these type of pickups.

I got these to replace pickups in a cheapo bass project. The set is long/short. Mounting screws and height adjustment pads included. Also a copper shield with ground wire lead that mounts between the bottom of pickup and pad. I think these are also called Vintage '62. They sound nice.

Purchased these pickups NEW but when I received them they looked USED? Anyway, I was able to install them and test them... Working and sounding great for the price! Giving 4 out 5 stars due to product looking used.

In my search for a great set of Jazz Bass pickups, I have bought and tried sets from some of the very best pickup makers who provide pickups for famous custom makers and pros--I'm not going to name them because there are many good pickup brands out there and some players dig them. On my Jazz Bass style 4-string bass with a Demeter on-board pre amp circuit, the Fender Original Jazz Bass Pickups set sounded the best. A rich sounding, high quality pickup set. It has nice lows, nice highs, and a very together sound overall. In my search I've tried sets that were over-wound, under-wound, ceramic, low magnet pull, active, etc.. These Fender single coil pickups in the 7k range have a warm, clear, balanced, and high fidelity sound --just the right tone for me. The staff at Fender know what they are doing, and this formula has worked for them for many years. The build quality of this pickup set is surprisingly good; from the covers, to the wire, to the overall appearance. For pickup height adjustment I hold down the string at the last fret and measure setting both pickup heights to have a 4mm gap between the top of the pole piece and bottom of the E string, with a 3mm gap for the G string end of the pickups--This is a common and great starting point for pickup height.

This have cosmetic wear indicating they are not new.

I’m sure these are excellent pickups but I was unable to use them. They are listed as “original” which I interpreted to be in a form as when the bass was “original”ly released, but are not. The reason I say this is because the original pickups were the same length, whereas Fender made a change in the later form factor and made the bridge pickup slightly longer. Because of that, they would not fit my bass. The quality looked excellent with a good wax coating on the coils and sturdy wiring, but alas, the bridge pickup was too long for my 1999 MIM Fender bass. I would recommend them but only after measuring the pickups in your bass to verify the sizes.

I just received my pickups in the mail and wanted to clarify some things since the description and product name are a bit confusing. Yes, these are a set of two Fender Jazz Bass Pickups which look exactly like the product photo. The package contains the neck and bridge pickups with 2 black covers, 8 mounting screws, 2 shielding plates with mounting foam, and a simple schematic. When I was shopping I couldn't figure out why this set was less expensive than the other sets and it barely had a description so I hope this helps anyone who is confused. I haven't installed the pickups yet but I foresee no problems. After looking them over they are very fine quality. I will write a second review once I instal them.Edit, a year later...After having installed them and used them for a year, I just wanted to say they sound great and have had no problems with them. I thought the stock pickups sounded good, but after replacing them with these I have never looked back. When the volume levels are equal they are hum canceling and when they are not equal there is a slight hum which varies depending on amp and how the room is wired, but that is expected with classic single coils. I love them a lot, brought my bass to life.

Installed on a Squier 40th anniversary jazz bass. Noticeable improvement.

Buenas pastillas con sonido clásico a un precio aceptable. Por poner una pega, la placa de cobre que se instala debajo de la pastilla va suelta y puede hacer contacto con el cable positivo de la pastilla y hacer que no suene, así que mejor ponerle un poco de aislante en la salida del cable positivo de la pastilla o simplemente un poquito de cinta aislante en el borde de la placa para que no haya un contacto indeseado.Por lo demás, sonido clásico de JazzBass impecable que puede que no sea lo que busca quien quiera obtener sonidos más modernos. Para estos, hay otras pastillas que pueden servirles mejor.

当たり前ですがFenderのジャズベのような枯れたいい音がします。ネックとブリッジの違いが明記されていないので、テスターで抵抗値を測る必要があるかと思いますが、ピックアップ交換を自分でされる方であれば減点ポイントにならないと思ったので星5つとさせていただきました。
