Maclaren Rocker, Orchid Smoke/Silver

Works great, has a bit of short battery life, but works great.

I admit, this is pricey for a rocker or bouncy seat but this has it all. The first thing to note is the infinite recline option that’s as easy as undoing the latches at the center and adjusting to where you need it, including a pretty much flat option. If that’s not enough for your newborn there is even a removable infant head support. I love the included canopy, it not only makes this great for the park or outside but it blocks some of the light inside if baby is sleepy or gets overstimulated. It is also easily removable.If baby is fussy you can sit them up, as much as is age appropriate. When baby is old enough it has a pretty much upright seat option which is great because eventually they get to that age where they don’t want laid back AT ALL.While they’re up (or laid back) there is a removable toy bar. The soft plush toys are a good size and quality, I love that they are simple and not over stimulating which seems to be a rarity these days.Ready to head to grandma’s? Using the same latches as the recline you can also fold it pretty flat in seconds to take with you. I’ve had other foldable options before but they always required undoing different legs or things, nowhere near as easy as the Maclaren. Not only that but the Maclaren fits nicely in the included travel bag.The 5 point harness keeps baby secure. It has rocking legs which come in handy if baby is fussy. It also has vibrations to keep baby calm as well. When baby just wants to lay, rest, or play there are flip down locks on the legs to keep it from rocking.I’m not sure if the cover is meant to be machine washable but it does remove easily so I’ve washed it in the machine many times and it still looks new.My only complaint would be the 20 lb weight limit. Since it’s big enough to fit a toddler and sits upright enough for them I think a higher weight limit would be great. Though we’ve used it past the weight limit many times without an issue.The quality of this seat means it could easily be passed through many children to get your money’s worth out of the higher price. Though sometimes the convenience for travel and ease of use are even worth the added cost. You certainly won’t regret this purchase.
