Superb color accuracy and potential QC concern
As many reviewers have mentioned, this is a perfect color grading monitor. With spectraView II software, you can get very accurate AdobeRGB/sRGB on your monitor. You can easily switch color space of the monitor. It's resolution is around 2K resolution, but ok for 27" monitor. If you have 4K resolution on a 27" monitor, you may need eagle eyes to read website articles in native resolution. You may want to have 4K resolution if you edit 4K movie frequently. For photo-editing, 2K resolution is just fine to me. I gave 3 stars though I am very happy with the monitor's performance. This is because my monitor becomes malfunction after ~20 day use. Suddenly, weird stripe patterns came up and went out. Then, it never displays any, even NEC logo shown at power-on. I think the mainboard of the monitor accidentally died . I have placed a replacement order. I will update the star rating and review if I get a new one.

Colorwise it's an amazing monitor with great resolution
Colorwise it's an amazing monitor with great resolution, even backlight, plenty of inputs and SV2 is a great addition with very easy to use software.-1 star for annoying problem which goes unsolved so far: when connected to the Mac computer through Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link Display Adapter this display turns itself off when computer goes to sleep and puts displays in standby. I tried to change the OFF Mode settings to no avail - it just ignores them.

Great Alternative to Video Broadcast Monitor
I purchased the 272 a few months ago after carefully searching the web for a low budget color correction monitor for theatrical films and various other video content. This monitor is everything I could've wanted for more than half the price of a broadcast monitor. While it technically doesn't produce the same accuracy as a broadcast monitor and I'm locked into an 8bit stream due to my video card, the difference IMO is negligible. I've viewed work I've corrected on various broadcast monitors and in a theater for reference. There are no issues with weird motion or ghosting like a lot of modern LED TVs and the Spectra software and hardware is highly recommended.Just be sure to get all of your settings correct. I had made the mistake of cranking my brightness too high while working on a horror film. When it was screened in the theater, the black level was too low for the projector to handle and it looked terrible. Once I figured out the issue and made the proper corrections to the monitor settings, everything looked beautiful.

I consider that a waste of $1300+ money
After using it for one year it began to flicker when I turned it on until it no longer worked. I had to get rid of it. I consider that a waste of $1300+ money. I also have the older model PA271 that I bought a couple of years earlier that is still working fine.

Quality apparent both in build and display
So far, very impressed with the quality build and screen on this monitor. It's not a drop in the bucket type of investment, but if you're into design and photography a great monitor makes a world of difference. Running as second (but primary) screen with a Surface Pro3.

NEC PA272W is not supported by MAC and incompatible with native Nvidia graphics in Macs!
I own this monitor. If you run a Mac - RUN from this monitor. You're better off with a 4K monitor for 1/3 the price. The display WILL NOT WORK NATIVELY with any Nvidia graphics processor - which is almost every Macbook pre 2015!!!! I've spent more than 40 hours trying to get it operating. NEC even wrote bogus "Alerts" to Mac owners on their support site blaming it on --- get ready "Faulty Cables" claiming only some manufacturers make the DP cables correctly. But they don't name those cable companies. Leaving owners in the fog. A horrible experience - knowing you have a drop dead gorgeous screen - that will only run at 1900 pixels wide max! That's less than your Mac laptop screen

I love that this monitor can sit on my desk, and can be raised, lowered, tilted. and it came with all possible cables for any country anywhere.

Great color and control!
Love my NEC monitor. A significant improvement over my Apple LED for processing RAW image files, and calibration is quick and mostly automated. Couldn't be more pleased!

Very satisfied
So much better than my MacBook Pro screen - true to color! No more worrying about whether my photos are going to display or print correctly. Very happy!
