Dyna-Glo DGN405DNC-D Compact Heavy Duty Charcoal Grill – Black

This is the very first charcoal grill my fiance' and I have owned together as a couple. I am not good at picking out man things so I gave him a budget and told him to look for us a nice one around the price range that he would be happy with. This is what he came up with and has been ecstatic ever since! When it arrived, it came in a jumbo box...that the cat took a liking to. He says that it wasn't too hard to put together, as he did it while I was at work and when I came home, ta-dahhhh...right on the kitchen floor lol. The next day, he wanted to go grocery shopping for meat to cook on it...which is not the norm because he doesn't like going to the grocery store. We bought lots of meat to try out, such as wieners, smoked sausage, chicken wings, pork chops, ribs, steak. We ate good for over a week! The wings tho....they came out to perfection. I mention just the wings because I am obsessed with chicken wings! Everything else I tried over the weekend was so good. This grill is all that and more. The ash tray makes cleaning it a breeze with a broom and dust pan. The temperature gauge on the outside really helped him keep a close eye on how hot it was and when it was ready to cook on. He used match light charcoal briskets to start but has been thinking of getting regular charcoal to see how that works in it as well. I am so happy with this purchase! The ideas are endless when you have a BBQ grill!

While it is not the manufacturer fault, I am not happy our product arrived damaged. However, it will not affect the grill and it was very easy to put together. I do recommend having 2 people to assemble as some parts needed to be held while another person used screwdriver. Heavy materials-seem well made. Cooked on it 2x so far and everything worked well. Husband likes it. Will update after more use.

I’m new to grilling so it took me a couple of grills to learn how to grill and get fantastic results. I’m sold, just wish I had bought this Charbroil grill back when. This is a sturdy, thick metal grill. Would’ve been worth at twice the money. Grill area is big enough to grill 8 steaks, and the fact that you can control the temperature is another plus. Buy one, you’ll like it. I was not recompensed for this post.

Its very sturdy. Assembly wasn't that bad. So far it's been everything I'd hoped for. Only had it a few weeks but the quality seems like it will see many years of use.

Husband loves this grill. Sides are nice and large for prep, grill is very nice.

The food results from the grill are outstanding.Cons:On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being fully assembled and ready to go out of the box. I would give this one a negative 2. Basically the only item that is preassembled is the lid to the hinge. Instructions state "50 minutes with 2 people." Maybe so if the 2 people were NASA engineers with auto body minors. They should add beer as one of the necessary tools as you are going to be here a while!Grease dripsIf you have a deck surface underneath that is susceptible to staining you might want to put a piece of plywood under this. The lid when you open it drips beyond the back edge of the grill and onto whatever is underneath.

Assembled, Directions are very good and to the point with good visual illustrations. I will be burning in tonight but the product is very sound and well built. The only issue. The wheels are brittle so be careful. Both mine were already broke. No problem.

I did not know what to expect when purchasing this grill, but the quality is better than expected. Good cast iron grill, easy to assemble, and compact. Very satisfied.

This is a great BBQ for the price, with definite design improvements over less expensive models In Dyna-Glo's product line. This is my third BBQ like this. For the price I am very satisfied tied with the approximately 4 years they have lasted. This one might last longer with some obvious improvements over previous models I’ve had. The coal tray is now a grill of metal rods instead of sheet metal, and the coal height adjustment has been reinforced in key areas. The cooking grill is a bit thinner than before but still ok. I was surprised on the first BBQ when some hot coal fell through on to the ash tray at the bottom and the heat made the paint flake off but that’s under the BBQ, you don’t see it… not a big deal. Overall I like this bbq, expect it to last 4 -5 years and then I’ll buy another…
