Very impressed.
I was looking for a comfortable "couch" guitar which is why I chose the thin-bodied Kona K2. I don't really care about the "electric" capabilities as I will mainly play it unplugged, but it is nice to have the option. Comfort and playability were my main concerns. I consider myself an advanced novice that has done a lot of research and played quite a few guitars. The finish is flawless. I can't find a single finish flaw. I was concerned the binding might be shoddy because it is a ~$100 guitar, but it is very nicely done. The fret ends are a little sharp, but that is an easy DIY fix.It doesn't have as much bass as a full depth acoustic, but I wasn't expecting it to. I will try different strings to see what I can get out of it. Action is perfect for me on the low E side, but a little high on the high e side. Again, that is an easy fix.It doesn't compare to my Seagull S6, but in many people's opinion, the S6 it the best < $500 guitar you can buy. Based on the guitar I received, at ~$100 the Kona K2 is a crazy-good bargain for the price. It is nice enough that I am thinking of buying a case to protect it, which will cost me about half the price of the guitar.I would have given it 4.5 stars if possible.

Great tone, easy to play, great value!
Sound is great on this guitar. Acoustically, it obviously lacks the depth of tone of a full bodied guitar, but when jacked in electrically to my Line 6 Spider V, and with the EQ dialed in, the piezo pickup is without any complaints at this price. As for the price, I should have picked this up when I first saw it, as the price has risen since then, but I don't regret this great little parlor guitar for what I paid. It's super comfortable to play, and even being a bigger guy with a bit of a belly, it doesn't require anywhere near the reach of a full bodied dreadnought. I would buy this for anyone starting out.One final note is that, with any guitar (especially a thrifty acoustic), invest right away in some quality lightweight strings. The ones it's packaged with sound a bit tinny. I was surprised at how good the action was straight out of the box.

Amazing quality, unbeatable price
Guitar player for 14 years here. I have had fenders, and i have had squiers. I have had ovations, and i have had yamahas. I must say, for the price, you absolutely cannot beat this guitar. The price is so low it actually made me hesitant to buy it. Upon lots of reviews i finally pulled the trigger, and dont regret it for a second. Straight neck, sounds great, super comfortable (i got the kona k2 with the slim body) and it even came with extras like pickguards and a polishing cloth! Would reccomend to anyone. This guitar is going to be my "hang it on the living room wall" guitar. It will be ready to grab and play as soon as a thought pops in my head, and it will look damn good on display when not in use.Blemishes? Imperfections? Some binding flaws? Yes.This guitar is not perfect. It is no $3000 martin, but this should really be sold for $250+All hardware is tight, new strings...I would literally buy it at double the price i got it for.Plays very well, came with low action and zero fret buzz. Cant say enough good things about it. Super happyKona seems to be getting it right with value priced instruments, hats off!

Has a nice sound, but I had to send back the ...
Well, you get what you pay for. Has a nice sound, but I had to send back the first one, as it had a large, visible finishing defect around the soundhole, along with some chips in the edge finish. The second one is a lot better, but there's still a small chip near the soundhole, and the wiring is loose, so you can hear it bang around inside when you move the guitar. The lacquer is pretty uneven (reflections look distorted off the face), but it covers most of the vulnerable parts of the guitar, so that's ok. The frets are finished poorly, so they're sharp at the edges, so you'd best refinish them yourself with a file.Other than that, it's a nice guitar for $133. Given the poor quality of the finish, I'd better test it plugged in soon before I can't return it (again).

Beautiful acoustic/electric gentle warm sound--Low action--easy to play
Ok, I bought this guitar based on the very good reviews it received from others who purchased this. I received it today tried it out. It's beautiful. I love the sleek design and you don't lose sound output acoustically even though it so much thinner. It's a lot easier on my back. I bought this guitar primarily for recording (in other words through my amp into my PC mixing software. But, I really like it as a standalone acoustic guitar as well. I have 4 acoustic guitars and this quickly becoming my favorite. I appreciate other Amazon customers for reporting truthful reviews about products because they haven't been wrong yet. The guitar is well made and the tuners are very nice and precise. It came with two pick-guards that you can choose from to remove the double stick cover and then stick it onto the guitar. One was all black and the other was woodtoned. Ok, I just plugged it into my amp and recorded some test songs. Wow, sounds awesome. Like another review I read here---it does sound just as clean through the amp as it does acoustically. I can hardly wait to start recording with this guitar. It sure beats having to play in front of a microphone stand. This is my first Korean guitar and I really really like it!!!

Rather Surprised
Quite a beutiful guitar. Decent sound and playability. After tightening up the hardware, and adjusting the neck, it now holds tune just fine. I suppose the best compliment that I can give is that I purchased a second guitar, for my son. While this won't be a family heirloom for anything but sentimental reasons, the price is right, and it is a joy to play.

Poor Quality
OK, it's a cheap electric acoustic from China. Many of the reviews are good if not excellent. Well, the one that I got was not up to snuff. Major issue was fret buzz of considerable proportions at the 14th fret. Yes, I could have sent it out or bought a fret leveler (if that was the issue) but then your at a price range that includes many better guitars.IMO, save a few pennies and buy something like Jasmine, Applause or other. These will provide you with much greater value and play ability.
